S-class facelift will likely get the new headlights and interior just with the addition of executive rear seats and longer wheelbase instead of the bench in the E-class. Probably on its way, until then the E will soak up the spotlight

Not really. If you look closer, most of the parts under the hood are made out of plastic. Before, it used to be all metal. They cheapened out on the hardware, hoping you fall for the gimmicky lights and tech.

@ Owned E Class for the past twelve years buddy! Spent two hours at the dealers getting my current 2024 (older) model serviced so had plenty of time to sit in a new model! No YT warrior, no cut and paste experience! I can vouch that the last two high tech E Class I owned have developed IT issues at the two year point. The only reason I stay with Mercedes is that they fix them pretty quick and, quiet frankly, there is still nothing to beat Mercedes styling and tech, except for now!

Well, I have a S-Class and I say: Yeah, it's nice, but the engine still sucks. And it looks like there is little space in the fonds. It was a mistake to kill the V8 in the E-Class. Each E500 with a 4.7 will punish this thing. And it has likely more space inside. The differences are huge between the W212 and the W213 even, the W213 sucked. Looks like a C-Class and is so small, only men with 1,70 meters can enter the fonds.
