The wait is over - well, not if you're in line, though. But Kevin and I are gonna sit down on Main Street and hash out our top 5 favorite ride queues to line up in... and our 5 worst too! Which queues make us excited to be standing in one spot for an hour? And which makes us want to die?

I'd love to see an episode on how Disney, Universal, Knotts and any other parks do Halloween. Your guys favourite things about it and events, snacks and such. I know you've done the haunted mansion and talked about the christmas overlay and you've done a christmas episode because Rocco loves christmas but give some love to Halloween!

Rocco, I know you'll never be caught dead on the ride... But I highly recommend going through the Jurassic Park Veloci-coaster queue. Went to Universal for the first time, and that queue blew me away. I won't spoil it but there's an amazing effect they do with the ride vehicle going by a window at one point, and there is one of the most life-like animatronics I've ever seen in person, and they have it like a foot away from you while you're in line. Universal has been killing it as a life long childhood Disneyland stan

I like the Expedition Everest queue because there’s all this mountain climbing and tibetan stuff, and they build up the story of the yeti sightings with newspaper clippings and photos. I don’t get to stop and look at it as much anymore since it’s not as popular a ride, so there’s not time to really stop and look at stuff

I'd like an episode of detailing tips and strategies for going to the parks. I'm a little overwhelmed thinking about trying to fit in everything in a limited vacation time. There's some of this scattered through other episodes but it'd be nice to have it in one place. Or, an episode about what Rocco did at Cedar Point because I can't begin to imagine what that's like for someone that doesn't like roller coasters. Especially in context to this episode because there aren't queues there, just tons of switchbacks.

I call it fizzy drinks but maybe that's a UK thing My favourite queue line is probably Baron 1898 at efteling which has an amazing animatronic and does a fantastic tale of telling the story of the attraction (essentially you are a miner coming to work in the Baron's mines but people have been disappearing after volunteering) They used a lot of real donated mining equipment too so it feels very authentic. Efteling is full of fantastic dark rides and queue lines in general, hopefully these 2 get to visit the Netherlands and go there sometime, there's even rumours Walt Disney visited it before building the first Disney park and it helped inspired it.

the Roger Rabbit queue is so brilliant! so many details and the way they bring the cartoon sets to life is just fantastic. another one i like is Journey to the Centre of the Earth at tokyo disneysea. the queue is pretty simple in a cave system with several cases full of gorgeous artefacts to look at, but the best bit is where you get in a big steampunk elevator that takes you 'down' to the loading bay

This was one of my favorite episodes. Queuing is such a fragile art form. Amazing to explore. My top is Indy and my bottom is Indy in Paris. Mindless switchbacks for hours in the jungle to the point where you don’t even know which direction you’re supposed to move, all leading to… another set of identical switchbacks! Almost had a panic attack waiting for that ride.

Kevin talking about the 2-stories of switchbacks on Ghost Rider blasted me back in time into the queue for another Knott's attraction: Voyage to the Iron Reef. Voyage was a steampunk dark-ride virtual shooter that was very half-baked but still fun. It recently got redesigned into "Knott's Bear-y Tales" based on an old dark ride from the 70s, but that's neither here nor there. In the wait to get onto Voyage, it starts outside between the Arcade & the Johnny Rockets but you spend barely any time there before you enter this huge dimly lit cube that is all switchbacks and no air conditioning. This was already a mediocre ride, so being forced to wait inside with all those bodies contributing to the heat and humidity was like the 6th Circle of Hell. I am so relieved that how terrible that was never stuck with me, and also incredibly relieved that I can now use the elevator to skip that portion of the line for Beary Tales because of my younger step-brother's slight palsy qualifying us for a handicap pass. Hopefully his physical therapy helps him get out of those leg-braces soon, nonetheless.

Surprised to not see Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom mentioned. That’s my favorite Disney queue it has hundreds of artifacts from Nepal and a whole Yeti museum it’s so authentic. I understand that Rocco would not know about it because he is afraid of roller coasters.

Two of my favorites are now gone (well only one location remains for one): Back to the Future and E.T. The video they created for the queue for BTTF with Christopher Lloyd and Tom Wilson reprising their roles is so great. Thankfully they put it as a special feature on the Blu-ray and 4K so you can still watch it, and in its unedited form its surpisingly long at like 20 minutes. And E.T. is just classic. Great atmosphere and I cannot forget that forest smell even all these years later. Happy to see Rocco mention it.

I genuinely wish I had the time to watch all of these. I’ve enjoyed every single one I’ve watched, but between the main podcast, the various special streams like MLK, mega64 day, Halloween stream, it’s a lot to watch and I can’t keep up. I used to watch everything while I’d get ready for work, and I stayed pretty caught up. But now that I work from home, I get out of bed and get on the computer. I’m really hoping to catch up and give these the videos the time they deserve

I think Tokyo Disney sea has some of the best queues, tower of terror and journey to center of the earth have so much to see and have a great atmosphere. I would say the only downside is they are massive queues, and if no one is in line it feels like you’re walking through a line for 10-15 minutes

mostly agree with soarin being the #1 worst for you rocco, i hate the way that line is built, but the patrick warburton video saves it slightly, thats an iconic video for me. oooh and why not here's a prediction for #1, im assuming it's haunted mansion but silently hoping its minnie mickie. [wow! big surprise that it ended up being indy, totally agree, that queue is fucking awesome!] that queue is fucking awesome and definitely cracks the top 5 for me. my lists would be: best: 5) roger rabbit 2) haunted mansion 3) minnie mickey 2) indiana jones 1) rise worst: 5) peter pan 4) web slingers [thank god it has that cool loading room cinematic or it would be misery] 3) soarin 2) midway mania [last time we played the stupid disney interactive experience app and it absolutely sucked but it thankfully made the time pass slightly faster] 1) grizzly river run [had a 90 minute queue there in the summer once... holy shit was actually getting delirious i swear. its a really pretty well designed area but holy shit]

From the midwest. Everyone calls soda, “pop”. Doesn’t weird or annoy me when people say soda, soda pop, or a coke. Another weird thing apparently?? Lollipops and suckers. From my experience we call the spherical tiny lollipops, like a Tootsie Pop for example, suckers. And lollipops are what we call the larger flat circle lollipops.

The queue for the simpsons ride is astonishingly bad. It's bad enough that they're just playing old clips (with a few ride-specific ones cut in), but the loop isn't even long enough-when the ride's busy, you see the same clips three or four times. The inside is also terribly executed, where you watch several more videos before you're allowed on the ride. Worst of all, you're now so used to the iconic style of the simpsons that the 3D renders for the ride look even worse (and they are very bad).

you guys should do one on the carousel of progress/innoventions. bums me out that they replace it with marvel/star wars stuff, it felt so integral to the tone/concept of tomorrowland. that secret room with all the oldschool stuff you guys said you visited reminded me of it, sucks that they hide the coolest things like that.

Man synchronicities are crazy sometimes, I literally got on my computer and hovered over one of the dozens of video tabs open for a split sec before moving my cursor and thought it said Creepy Old Crypt, then I immediately thought "nah cant be, they havent uploaded in a bit and I would have remembered clicking on it, but hopefully they do soon," went back and double checked anyways and saw the video just ended with the word CREEPY, so I go to my subscriptions and this is like the 6th video in and the first thing I see. Stuff like that seems to be happening to me more and more as of late. Either way this looks like it'll be a good one, I love some of the themed aspects of queues and how they can be incorporated with the ride and hopefully they talk about some I'm not familiar with.

So I actually havent been on Peter Pan's flight in ages because of the line. (For clarification, the Florida version of the attraction.) I’m Team Pop all the way! Sometimes I’ll say sodie to be a bit of a goof. One of my favorite queues is for a single joke: Muppets 3D for ‘a net full of jell-o.’ What can I say, I’m an Annette nut! I love the Men In Black: Alien Attack queue - the cheesy 60’s bait and switch going into MIB headquarters is super cool. I love seeing all the aliens! The old Test Track line was so boring to me as a non-car person. I haven’t been to WDW for a decade so I can’t say whether or not the Tron version is better. I’m going to Lost Island in Iowa with some friends at the end of the month - I hope there are some highlights there!

Good queues for bad rides? A few queues come to mind, queues that are better than their rides: Race Thru New York w Fallon: Guests seem to enjoy the museum and the studio replica way more than the actual ride Transformers: I remember feeling so hyped to enter this universe and save the world with these characters because the queue is so energetic and engaging and yet the ride itself is just the worst version of Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man Mission Space: For kids who couldn’t attend space camp, this queue really feels like an interstellar mission and then the ride is such a disappointment
