This is SO nostalgic and very very well put together, bro! Insane memories and beautiful footage! I genuinely felt like I was watching National Geographics, incredible storytelling. GALVANIZED SQUARE STEEL MENTIONED this was such an iconic trip we definitely need to run it back - I can still hear the twenty-one pilot songs on repeat 😭

Excellent film Rocco and Ian. As you know I once staffed the Pillsbury Mtn fire tower in New York's Adirondack Mountains. I believe you provide a good glimpse into the life of a fire tower lookout. Or as we were called in New York State, a Forest Fire Obsever.

Rocco. Nice meeting you and your friends this evening at Snowshoe. Great doc on the fire tower. I’m sure you’ve been Snowshoe fire tower too! You should submit this film to the Banff Film Festival. Your Doc will rival any of the films we saw this year.

Coming from your reddit post. Amazing story dude! Keep it up! Underrated! Honestly, thanks for sharing. btw. Do you color grade your own footage, or do you use luts, or is this just straight out of your r6?
@RoccoGermani2 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! The footage is color graded in Davinci Resolve, I generally go for a bit of a filmic look so I'm emulating a Kodak 2383 film print with some grain, glow, and distortion added. I have a few color grading tutorials on my channel if you are interested, and plan to make more in the future!

How does one go about cleaning the windows in the tower? I'm sure they get pretty grungy over time.
@RoccoGermani2 ай бұрын
I would assume it is possible to access every single window pane from the one that opens in the center. Reaching around to wipe when possible or maybe using a tool to reach to where the persons arms can't. Most fire towers have at least one window panel on each side that opens for this reason.
