This is exactly the type of guitar that was being rocked in early to mid 80s on the Sunset Strip on the stages of the whisky a go go, the Roxy and Gazzaris. This guitar was the in guitar to have and be seen with back then and they all joined the queue to get one custom made at Grover Jackson’s shop over in Glendora / San Dimas. First it was bastardised strats and I mean seriously butchered, there were real vintage 60s strats being painted over in bright colours, routed, drilled and filled to take a floyd. Many vintage gems were destroyed. Then this model came and changed the way guitars were made to this day. The San Dimas strat guitar is a piece of rock history.

You could put a button killswitch where your volume knob used to be. It wouldn’t get in the way of your switch and would give you that cool stutter effect. Eddie van halen has a few guitars out with EVH that have them now. They’re pretty fun and a cool, simple effect. Great video tho!🤘🏻

I just got one yesterday. Really loving it so far. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an Official Floyd Rose. I purchased a Jackson King V pro for about the same price and it has a neck through and a real Floyd. That being said this one feels fine so far. Stays in tune just fine.

I recently bought this guitar. I was actually looking at the Adrian Smith Strat, which is about £2500, and got this instead for a fraction of the price. It's become my main gigging guitar. And I have a USA PRS and an Ibanez JS24.

Les Lawrenson The San Dimas models always drop to around £499.99 in GuitarGuitar every year without fail. You’re getting a cracking guitar from half it’s RRP. I have one of the DK24 models now and paid full price but definitely don’t grudge paying full for it.

Les Lawrenson Amazing. I bought my Charvel DK24 from a small guitar and instrument repair shop in Glasgow called Jimmy Egypts as I found they included the Charvel SKB hard case with their Charvels. The case is £140 on it’s own so I got a no brainer deal too, luckily. If you’re ever getting another Charvel you should check it out 🤘🏽

I had this guitar for a few months because of an ebay deal..but I don't like the FR so i sold it...that said...of all the guitars I have ever owned, this absolutely had the best neck I ever felt...just incredible....I want this neck on a telecaster.

We love the same music, that's clear to me. The tones on that guitar are fantastic. I never thought about splitting inner and outer coils on a dual humbucker guitar before. The most versatile configuration ! My Peavey Vandenberg Quilt tops have it (originally taken from the T-series) John Petrucci later streamlined that for his Ibanez signature series. Washburn used something similar, but not as sweet as this (I'm modding my A20)

I have that exact guitar (although I left the chrome hardware of course). Love it but the only knock I have is that the high E string cuts it fairly close to the edge of the fretboard. There is more space on the low E string side.
