Rochas Moustache Fragrance Review

Nice to see a longer term, multi-use test. A lot of reviewers seem to try it once or twice to see the scent profile, but don't try things out for a while to see what it's like to live with something unless it's a popular scent. Keep it up!

Bro i got my roger and gallet open black and first i must say fragrancenet shipping is not playing around super quick and brother you werent bs about this one projects heave smells so fresh a clean .. @@ScentsOfSouthJersey If you love the barber shop scents, you should get into DE wet shaving aftershaves! There are some small companies that issue some amazing aftershaves. Even Clubman has a great line of new aftershaves called their "Reserve" line. A few have nice performance that could be cologne strength (their older Special Reserve fits that description and surprisingly gets great reviews on Fragrantica). Take a look at the new line: www.clubman.com/after-shave/clubman-reserve.html Most decant them in glass bottles with orifice reducers (the plastic caps that allow for dispensing just a few drops at a time). Clubman uses a very cheap plastic bottle. The vintage bottles were made of glass, of course.

Wow. I wasnt expecting this review. Funny I was thinking how the edp has been reviewed a million times but not 1 did the edt. And the edt is readily available, unlike the edp. Thanks from us blindbuyers. This info is golden.

I bought this by mistake thinking it was the parfum version. Like you, I was disappointed at first, because I was expecting the notes from the parfum version. However, I really like this now. The citrus is overpowering, but the musk in the dry down is nice. Prefect for the hottest of days. I did finally get the parfum version, and it is a night and day difference from the 1949 version. Totally different, but the parfum is a much better scent in my opinion. Great video !! Thanks

Vette Vert wow sounds like an almost identical experience with it, the musk powder dry down was very appealing to me as well just have to spray heavy to get those notes but that’s fine lol. I will have to check out the edp !

I've heard the Moustache EDP is very different and it gets a lot of YSL Tuxedo hype, but I'm glad you did a review on the OG version. I was curious about that one.

Good review but two items I would love to see every reviewer mention are: 1) The batch code and even more importantly 2) The Ref # which is usually near the ingredients or on the bottom flap in the case of Rochas at 1:42 in your video. The Ref. # usually refers to the formula code. If all reviews mentioned that over the last decade, we would all know what fragrances were reformulated and when. A few seconds of the ingredients list in each video would also indicate the changes there over the years, too. For example, I have 2017 and 2019 bottles of Armani's "Stronger With You". In just 2 years, the formula code and the ingredients list changed! That may have been to prepare for the 2020 IFRA update.

I really like "older frags" mainly for the nostalgia part of it. I started out going back to find fragrances of my 1980's youth but now I tend to want to go even further back. I really like the Mustache scent, which I believe was released in the late 40's. It is a citrus scent. but its different from the normal citrus lemon scents out there. I find it to be more of a lemon/citrus soap smell, which I think that comes from the musk base. I got decent performance by using a non scented lotion as a base then apply the fragrance over the top. The bottle and presentation is great definitely worth the buy.

You should try Emmanuel Ungaro Homme II , Fougere Royale, you like old school Fougere /Barber shop centered scents. I am in my early 30s but I like old school fragrances as well like you.

ramboram03 fougere Royal is on my list to get, I tried Ungaro pour la Homme III and o got a vintage bottle and when I tried it the scent was clearly sour and ruined so I never bothered to get a new one, I hear mixed reviews on it, I love old school barbershop and powerhouse scents though for sure, thank you for watching and commenting dude!

Brett from what I see that’s available to buy there is an edp, the Edt which I have and one called edt concentre. Smells nice just have to spray it on like 20 times lol performance is poor

I get about 4 hours with 3-4 sprays. It’s a soft scent, which goes with the gentlemen style. It reminds me of Eau Sauvage (same creator), though less green than that. Candied lemon at the start, followed by skin-like muskiness.

Wow I hardly smell it at that many sprays, probably just my skin, it is a very nice scent I love the citrus musk combo, I wish they had an aftershave

Mike - Where did you buy your bottle? Scents of South Jersey said he bought his from Fragrancex and from the reviews on their site about other fragrances (some of which are supposed to be strong), quite a few complain about weak performance. When you buy from discounters, immediately check: 1)The cellophane wrapping closely to see if it's loose or if there's a small piece of tape on it. It's even better if you can see the cellophane wrapping seals on a box in a major dept. store and compare it to what a discounter sends. Each house has a distinct way of sealing the cellophane. 2) Note the box flaps to see if they look slightly worn. 3) Inspect the bottle and the atomizer base for scratches. 4) Match the batch code on the box and bottle (this is important but I think the previous three are more important).

@@ScentsOfSouthJersey I have not tried the edt. The edp is rich,heavy and somewhat dark. Similar to but not exactly like Bentley Intense, Armaf Craze, etc. Definitely a 10/10 cool weather fragrance, in my humble opinion.

Snortch Gortch yeah this ones not bad but it was not as good as I had hoped, I legit spray a ton on and it will last only if I do that lol. I also blind bought pour lui I have tried it a few times but have yet to give it a full wear, once I do I will review it for sure. But if you buy a small bottle of Moustache it can’t hurt, cheap alternative to Acqua Di Parma Colonia but not a clone

Seems quite weak unfortunately. I like though that they made the re-release. Seems promising otherwise, but the performance is however very important. You could make a review of Iceberg Twice Pour Homme, it is a great quality scent. Wonderful smell and potent! A juicy citrus fragrance with lots of notes (I get much yuzu I believe, proper, lavender, powder, woods, orange-blossom. Manly, "old vibe ish" scent, simply GREAT! And I like the design too, frosted glass and cool cap! Some might think it does not match the quality scent, but I disagree. Hidden gem indeed. Take care!
