the chamber that takes an aluminum ball does it have a screen that goes down in the chamber over the ball space?

Great video and info, thanks. I do have a problem with an old Rochester 2 jet in that the check ball won't stay in the hole after I stroke the accelerator pump. The first time I set it, it squirts fine and then nothing the next time. The ball moves out of its hole with one stroke and so the pump is useless after that. The carb is for a 1968 Jeep Commando with the V6. I do have the small aluminum ball in the well. I figure I missed something, can you help?

the small ball is from aluminium and not magnetic.

+Mikes Carburetor Thanks for the reply. Could you recommend a place on line to get a rebuild kit? Is there anything I would need to buy that doesn't come in the kit? Also would you recommend using the old bass float or buy a new one? Thanks Mike
