Well, I have little to no respect for law enforcement . I still know what I am required by Federal and State law to do on a traffic stop. Problem is, most cops are not taught at the cop school what .rights we have as citizens on a traffic stop and take any exercising of our rights as " not cooperating " as if we have to cooperate. Takes two years to be a barber , takes 6 months to be a cop .

Now, if you are close to the situation you would know more about the totality of the situation,giving you a more informed opinion. There's NO doubt about that. People don't flee from the police for no reason. Not even entitled DA's. Did you see her bag of "lunch"? Well, that was her lunch....a liquid lunch. She fled from police and then used her position as DA to avoid a DUI. She MUST go.

I think she was genuinely upset about the cases and her spouses serious medical concern. Neither of those circumstances excuse going 20 mph over the speed limit, using her position to call the police commissioner and use his first name when asking that the police officer leave her alone or ignoring the officers lights and requests once she got home and out of her vehicle. At the least, she should be suspended and required to go to counseling; best would be to resign willingly or be fired. No sympathy regardless.

I heard an explanation of why she was distracted and noncompliant and acting out of character. There’s evidence that shows human responses to multiple significant stressors can include things like the behavior she displayed. If anything she needs some time off of work to take care of herself as this situation is a red flag that she’s at her wits end. Unless she has a pattern of this behavior then it’s a one off.
