Well, we've reached the end of RB1 folks. This is actually the highest non-FC score by nearly 2000 points. This song has only been FC'd on the original RB1 engine once, and that happened last year by Aby on a PS2 emulator:

Before Abyssion got that FC, this song has remained un-FC'd on Rock Band 1. Three people have FCd this song on RB2, and the only video that exists of that now is from Ukog:

This song suffers from the same issue as Trogdor from GH2, where the strumming in the solo (6:55) is faster than the strum limit of the engine. It is still possible on NTSC I think, but you need to be incredible accurate. That's why the only FC's are on PAL, which allows for a higher strum limit. I could go further into detail on the technicalities of that, but this description would go on far longer than it already has. The early Guitar Hero and Rock Band Engines are basically identical in most regards, and the strum limit stayed in Rock Band up until RB3, which allowed plenty of people to FC this song with ease. Then the question is, is an RB3 FC of GGaHT legitimate? Does it count for the FSFC? The way I see it, it should count for the FSFC, but every other song should be done on the original engine. I'm a big supporter of playing songs on the original game if you're going for an FGFC, especially when it comes to Guitar Hero. For Rock Band, some songs need to be FC'd on exports (Like Rock Band Blitz, and AC/DC). No one has every FC'd the AC/DC live version of Let There Be Rock on the original engine, let alone on the AC/DC track pack standalone game. This debate has been had plenty of times over on scorehero, and I'm just rambling at this point, so I'll leave it at that. I've enjoyed going through RB1. This is the first time I've played through this game whilst going for good scores, and it was fun learning the intricacies of squeezing on Rock Band. I have far less experience squeezing rock band games than Guitar Hero games. The next game I'll be uploading is Guitar Hero 5. Between now and when I start uploading those, I'll upload a few filler videos. GH5 has 85 songs, so I'm not sure if I'll upload those once a day again like this game, or if I'll go 2 a day so that that game doesn't drag on for the entirety of summer. Let me know what you'd prefer: one video per day, or two videos per day. I will never forget this song as the capper to the 'endless setlist' mode from RB1 - I was in my junior year of university and we stayed up all night running the (IIRC) 48 songs in a row. When the sun came up, we were ranked #3 on the Playstation server, despite having a singer playing on 'hard' - and even years later it's one of my greatest gaming accomplishments - playing guitar for the #3 ranked rock band in the world at the time. I'd give anything to go back to those simpler times.

@@Superunknown190 Yeah... It was actually much easier. I'm guessing, because we played it so much the night before, and I was somewhat refreshed. I got up that morning having forgotten that I left the game on (couldn't save), so I had to finish it before I could do anything else. I didn't have a mic stand, so I taped the mic to one of my unused cymbal stands with electrical tape. About 4 tries in, I finally nailed it and got through. One of the best and hardest earned achievements I have ever gotten aside from the feathers in AC2.

If any of you are failing at the 2nd guitar solo of this song, save your overdrive if you’re about to fail on the zigzag patterns, and on the pull-off triplets at the end of the 2nd solo, save your overdrive for that as well. On both sections, keep strumming and guess like hell all the way through on timing on the frets. That’s all you need to pass the song on Expert Guitar. 😉

They need to bring back these games. Rockband and Guitar Hero. Though unfortunately we will never see another. Digital media and microtransactions make far too muuch money alone. The cost of making physical gaming peripherals now cut too deep into the pockets of devs and pubs when they could just make a game that relies solely on digital downloads. GH3 and rockband were truly the best days of my gaming life so far. And sadly i dont think ill ever get to relive those experiences. Xhox 360's are available in devent condition, but finding a decent working guitar is near impossible. And forget ever trying to find a ps3 gh3 guitar. Youll dish out hundreds for a single one thst works with compatible dongle.

@thaperfect4924 If you're familiar with Harmonix's earlier games (Guitar Hero 1 and 2 in particular) you'll notice alot of the same musicians doing songs in both of those games as well. Though , unlike Rock Band (and the rest of the Rock Band series for that matter) All of the songs on the main set lists for GH1 and GH2 (with the exceptions of "Stop" by Jane's Addiction, "Dead!" by My Chemical Romance, and "John the Fisherman" by Primus from GH2) are cover tracks. Rock Band 1 has a mix of master tracks as well as cover tracks. Some of the covers really are pretty great, but some others... oh boy 😆 Probably the best example of a shockingly bad cover from those games is the cover of the Lamb of God song "Laid to Rest" from Guitar Hero 2 🤣

The only expert song I have yet to beat. there was one time I got like 60 something percent in but lost. turns out I wasn't breathing for a few minutes there and when I realized (just after my failure) all my muscles locked up. My toes curled in. My fists clenched. I was stuck in the fetal position for a solid minute but it felt oh so much longer than that. the scariest thing that's probably ever happened to me. It's been maybe a year since then and i have yet to retry.

The problem with the strumming is that it is too fast for the game to register. Pre-Rock Band 3 and Pre-Guitar Hero 3 songs have a hard-coded strum limit in the game where it will only register up to about 16 strums per second. The strumming in this song is simply just faster than that threshold, so in order to hit it, you would need to exploit the timing window extremely precisely. I could go further in depth, but that's the gist of it, it's not a matter of the person not being able to hit the notes, but the game not allowing it.

@@aWiseMoose yeah only way possible to hit that section on that game is to start the section as early as possible and you would have to strum the exact max nps that the engine allows you to hit. Then maintain it until the end of the section finishing it super late just making it without missing. Would be highly unlikely since we aren't robots and it's hard enough to maintain a certain nps exact. It was awesome seeing aby hit it on emulator though. If it truly is possible on console I would love to see someone get it. They would deserve 1000 bucks atleast for doing it and documenting it.

NasWii Different consoles have different gold start cut-offs on some songs. On PS2 it’s about 372,000 but on 360 it’s about 394,000
