Always a great pocket to improvise out of. There are so many single note pockets up and down the neck other than open pedals down and A&F lever. Great lesson brother

Glad it helped! Check out the other online lessons on my channel. They're all taught in a way that is accessible to everyone. I also post links to all my videos on the steel guitar forum, so spread the word and I hope you rocked out at your gig!

Hi Johnny, This is some good stuff! Help me out here~ So if I'm looking to play the pentatonic scale for any key, I move down two frets? ( pedals down ) A&B?. Also, I have an old 70's Shobud, which means I only have one lever; that lowers my 2nd and 9th strings. Truthfully I'll never be able to afford a Mullen or Derby so can you steer me to some lessons/advice on what tunes and exercises I can work with on my Bud? I just started playing steel five months ago, but I've been playing guitar close to 45yrs. I'm getting some understanding of my pedals so anything you can do to help me out is greatly appreciated....... Thanks again*** Mike/Ohio

+mike kreitzer Mike: I have a program that where you can plug in your copedent, and find every possible inversion available to you with that limited set up. There are probably a bunch of places for you to find chords that you don't know about... my program will show you where they are, and also how to play 5 different types of scales, based on what you have... glissandopsproducts.com regards, Dave

Mike, 90% of the classic stuff was played on that setup. You can play for years and not need the 2nd or 3rd knee.
