With the child dilemma, I was with my ex- husband for 5 years and he had a daughter from his first marriage. We were together from the age she was 3-8. When we got divorced I took her out to dinner and told her that she had a mom and a dad that loved her a lot and that she did nothing wrong but we wouldn't be hanging out anymore. It broke my heart because she was my baby. But at the end of the day, she had a mom and a dad. She had people who loved her. It hurt, but was best.

Real shit! I got with my now husband when my son was 2 months old, my son is 3 now and my husband has raised him like his own although my child's father has been in his life the whole time. We have all been very mature about the situation. My child's father has a GF that he's been with for years and a son that's about a year older than my son and we exchange our child every Monday keeping him a week at a time. It might not be ideal for the guy in the dilemma but all he can do is move on, let go and let God and I promise he will see the situation for what it is and move accordingly 😊😊 much love to all cult babies ❤

As a woman with a child, it's up to the mother to set boundaries with the kid and the man to understand: this is the man mommy is in a relationship with, this is not your father, but he does have the male role in this household. Its sounds more complicated than it actually is. It's a simple matter of RESPECT. Plus I take a LONG time before a man meets my child. My child has only met my boyfriend after we dated for a year. Being a RESPONSIBLE single mom can make dating very difficult on both parties. My child has never seen a man in my life other than her dad and my boyfriend but I have DATED. It is what it is.

Ayo. There too many people out here buying lobster, steak, and all sorts of special dishes on EBT. If someone is thrifty enough to extend their dollar, then they have the wherewithal to stretch dollars in other places. @@anonymousdonoryou’re exactly right. Back in the day (2013-14), my husband and I needed food stamps. We were newly married with 2 children and my special needs sister. I used coupons with the food stamps. Cashiers would try to tell me I couldn’t use them because I was getting my food “free” anyway. Fast forward to 2023. We now have 6 children, our house is paid off and our 3 cars are paid off as well. We have savings and money in the bank. So I definitely get what you’re saying. If you’re looking at food stamps as just “free money”, you’ll be more likely to stay broke.

I don’t mess with people who act like their friends don’t exist once they get into a romantic relationship. They have no respect for me or my feelings. And then come crawling back when their relationship doesn’t work out. You deserve to be alone.

Had to drop my best friend over that, I seemed to not even matter enough to even check on with a quick text every time she was in a relationship. Yet I was always there for her when they ended.

My mate used to do that all the time when he was younger, luckily for him we were all pretty chill about it and opened back up as soon as he was done. Although I definitely had a word with him after the second or third time and he changed to be fair to him, ironically with the one he ended up marrying and who actively pushes him to make time for us.

I really liked the friendship part it made me see more clearly about trusting others and their truth. I definitely use to have insecurities but there really doesn’t need to be a limit on friendships especially ones you can truly cherish

Dumbest take ever. Just because it worked in their situation, doesn’t mean it works all the time. We’ve seen a million examples of men and women being just friends and that turning into love or friends with benefits later on. So knowing that, why would anyone risk it? No one with half a brain is gonna risk that happening, so if you’re hung up on having friends of the opposite sex over a potential marriage, then you got your priorities messed up.

no relationship that requires you to cut people out of your life is a healthy one bc if someone wants to cheat on you they’re gonna do it whether they have friends of the opposite sex or not so there’s really nothing to worry about and if you don’t trust ur partner that much that they need to drop their friends y’all don’t need to be together
