Michael Shenker is the reason I picked up my first electric guitar as a kid. I am 55 now and am still inspired by Shenker.

Seen Faulkner 3 times in the last 3 1/2 years. Dude is awesome player and great with the crowd. After his near death incident where he continued to finish the Painkiller solo, he turned into a living legend.
@doblegcanusee93115 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Michael Schenker one of the most underrated rock guitarist in history. Never plays the same solo twice on any of his songs. It shows the mastery over the guitar that he has. He knows the neck so well he can improvise on the fly.

Well, who'd have thought it, kk was irreplaceable, And then Judas Priest hit the jackpot when Richie joined, it is totally unbelievable how Judas Priest still make the great music that they do, Richie's contribution to this has fast forwarded Judas Priest into total heavy metal legends, well done 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Tezo Richies a great player but really had nothing to do with establishing JP as a legend. The road was paved way before Ritchie. Hes a great fit much like ripper owens was during halfords departure. Think of it this way screaming for vengeance was recorded prior to Ritchie even playing guitar. Its one thing to play songs and another to write them

My first concert was AC DC with Bon Scott opening for UFO $6 at Hara Arena in Dayton Ohio. My Second was Def Leppard opening for Scorpions with Judas Priest headlining for $7, yeah I'm a Heavy Metal Fossil. Seeing Kiss on tv made me an Air Guitarist, seeing Judas Priest live made me wanna learn how to play one. Needless to say I know a high % of the Priest catalog and when you first joined them I thought they had the wrong Faulkner in the band until I saw you play. Thank you for sharing this amazing cover of a song a play every day.

Simon shenker by far is the bench mark for rock guitar. Sure theres more technical players but none have recorded or toured like schenker. What other guitarist has left established bands and playing consistently improved or even maintained at the same level as him live. Hes still passionate about playing without being arrogant it flows through him it wasnt taught or studied

I love Michael Schenker. I think this person perfectly handles Michael Schenker's phrases and sounds. I think he is the only person in the world who can not only play the notes but also the sounds and soul that Michael would play so perfectly. I sincerely hope he makes more 70's rock.

Hi there, Mr. Faulkner! I see lots of similarities between this video and your solo from You've got another thing coming with only bass drum background. I think what we hear in both solos is definitely your personality, attitude and what you have to say in terms of music. Just love your taste of palm muting during ripping while descending. And just to be followed by: the unimaginary unlimited ripping attack in bends that bring focus. It is just a mind blowing style of bringing together bend and attack. That's your style and it is awesome, unique and leave me astonished every time! All that must be why you are much loved Judas Priest RHRF virtuoso nowadays.You definitely earn your spot on stage and I can't wait to see you again. I think that you have become a Messenger of guitar playing and huge idol of so many. Who would be better to accompany the great Metal God Rob Halford himself than the Guitar God Richie Faulkner?I just hope Glenn Tipton stays with you guys despite his parkinsons desease. No surrender! He is one of a kind genius with his melodies and bigger than life visions in guitar solos and riffs. Judas Priest family loves you guys to the Moon and back. Greetings from Finland by the way!

Schenker is one of the all-time greats - I grew up listening to the Scorpions (with his brother Rudy), UFO, & of course, MSG - I still wear all those tour T-shirts from back in the day, albeit they are faded & well worn; to me, he is a force of nature in the world of rock guitar legends, including Hendrix, Page, Clapton, Rhoads, S-R Vaughan, Satriani, Vai, Van Halen, to mention but a few. Great licks, Richie !! :D
