What time of year is this and what are the penalties for fishing without a license? How strictly and frequently are the rules enforced around Bayview Jetty if you know?
@AnglingAddictsPNW4 жыл бұрын
yugibeats lol dude, come back and ask again when you BUY A LICENSE. To even consider poaching fish here or anywhere is F’d up.
@superIBM12314 жыл бұрын
Aw fuck off, just buy a license
@frostasaurus21903 жыл бұрын
Hopefully very strictly and they catch you
@projectnemesi59503 жыл бұрын
I've never been approached and inspected ever when I was living on the coast. I always have a license, but there is simply too much coastline to enforce for the rules to be practical. If you cant afford the license, but need to eat to survive, that situation sucks. Good luck, and no hate. People barely making it because of covid nowadays.
@projectnemesi59503 жыл бұрын
Oh, and avoid the overcrowded docks, never caught shit there. Everything was off of rocks, jettys, hard to get to places. Probably why I was never approached for inspection.

Amazing video, my friend and thank you for your Jetty Fishing video as well! The information I got in that video was priceless. Thank you for taking the time to explain your steps and reasons in a down to earth and easy to absorb fashion. Your videos cut all the BS and get right down to how to catch then get topped off with actually seeing the fruits of some quality technique. Definitely got a new subscriber here. I used to fish the Jetty in Half Moon Bay California before the internet and had no idea that swim baits could render such incredible results but I'm inspired to go back out there (it's been years) with the techniques you've brought to light as I'm sure that they will work out there as well. Fantastic video!! Please keep up the great work!!

Derwood25 - Thank You! I really enjoy doing more of the informative, tutorial type videos. Of course it’s fun catching fish but I like knowing that these videos are actually helping others out as well so they can get out there and potentially do better. Haha I wish I had known about some of this years ago!! I appreciate the feedback. Knowing these videos are helping is what keeps me doing them. I had to give a lot of classes when I was in the military, so I think that helps with getting the info out there in a way that most people would easily understand. I enjoyed making that jetty video and have been happy to see that it has been starting to take off after a slow start. Definitely get back out to half moon with some new rigs and techniques and see what you can make happen 🎣🎣 Thanks for watching, the support, and feedback!

Sorry to tell you... but on 1 half day charter trip out of Depoe Bay Oregon, after captain telling us don't expect the ling to be biting that day,, that's all the wife and I caught nothing else the whole trip. We caught 11 between us, 9 were keeper size.

OmegaFattyAcids - you never know how it’s going to go. I planned this trip for days, trying to find the perfect tides, timing, weather, etc all in hope of maybe finding my first lingcod. Hopped on google maps and searched down the coastline and found this area. Gave myself 5 days to hopefully catch one. I would have never expected a trip like this!! I hope you have a trip just as amazing. If you haven’t seen my 7 jetty fishing rigs video you should check it out. All of those rigs will catch you fish.. knowing multiple ways of targeting them goes a long way

Thanks man, this was such a fun trip! ya it can be pretty good up here at times but i feel ya on the pressure. It's getting tougher these days to get out and find anywhere away from the masses, and sometimes those are the sketchy spots to get to in the first place.

Fish and Forage - Thank You, I was eager to get back to this place after the wave took me out the day before. It looks super fishy. There was a small tide that day so it opened that day to some amazing fishing. It got pretty rough in the following days so I moved spots. I’m in love! I definitely would like to make my way further south, especially into California

Fish and Forage - The exploring is half the fun.... well maybe a 1/4 when you have a day like this. I bummed it for 6 days. The whole experience will be one I will never forget. I look forward to doing more. This was such a small area considering the amount of coastline. There is more just waiting to be explored and fished. Let me know if you decide to get out this summer

It's always surprised me how well white or plain yellow works for Lings and other bottom fish here. they use a cheap aluminum crab ring as a net when they fish off high piers in Florida. just an idea.

Lol i had the best footage... honestly probably some of the best coastal footage i've taken and was killing it with surf perch off the jetty and off the beach.... this was last year. The following day i kicked my camera off a rock on the jetty and into the ocean... all content gone. I plan on hitting the coast hard this spring, hopefully i can find more of those dinner plate sized surf perch! Thanks for the recommendation!

@@AnglingAddictsPNW im so sorry to hear that, last outing i put my bucket and gear way up on the beach away from the water... wouldn't you guess waves started breaking way up there LOL

Great video! Maybe in future videos you could bring a bucket/rope to lower the fish back down into the water more safely? Just an idea! Keep up the great content & tight lines! 🙌🎣🤙
@AnglingAddictsPNW2 жыл бұрын
That would be a good idea, though I did find a better way to access the water from lower so I wouldn’t have to drop them. I was out for 6 days doing videos during this so I couldn’t keep but what I could eat myself. If I were to go back I think I’d just keep what I’m allowed. I did kinda cringe every time I dropped a fish back when I watched this. It was a good learning experience. I’d prefer not to toss back a fish just to have it die. Thanks for watching
