I remember when this song came out back in 1972. I was a sophomore in high school and had been playing guitar for about 2 years.. I had aways wanted to learn this song and you Marty you've made so easy to learn. Thanks so much for the lesson. Keep up the good work :-) .

Great lesson Marty! I like the way you build up the parts. Learn the first riff then learn the second riff then play them together and so with the 3rd etc etc.. And all that played slowly. Great work!

I just wanna say thank you for all your videos you do on here you've help me out a lot on a bunch of songs one song I always wanted to do was simple man and you break everything down in sections that make it easy to understand and I love that you do super simple stuff all the way to some pretty hard licks to play which helps progress into a better guitarist so thank you very much Marty oh and I love your songs you do in duets like oh la la with that bigger guy his voice is awesome and the songs you do with the blonde lady she too has an amazing voice but I seriously can't thank you enough for helping me better myself as a player

That was sweet , I've been kicking that song around for a long time and found that i been doing half assed this whole time !! Thanks again, I always want to learn it the correct way.I find some of the Tab stuff in books and magazines are written different to each other so getting it to sound correct can be frustrating at times, so now when i look for a song i want to learn i look on Utube to see if you may have covered it and yes Marty you rock !!! Hey Marty! thanks for all that you do, I am a semi self taught and lesson sought player. A number of years ago I broke my left forearm and now have 2 plates screwed into the bones permanently... Over the course of the last few years I have been trying to exercise my hand to be able to complete the stretches required for making proper transitions, but notice that I get a lot of cramping happening. I was wondering if you can share some tips and practices that could help strengthen my wrist and give me some mobility back to my pinky finger? thanks Pete...
