Had the privilege of meeting him backstage at a concert years ago where the only reason I had backstage passes was because I somehow managed to get the VP of Island records on the phone and I kind of begged enough the right way and he granted them to me and my then wife. It was the band, the roadies and us. That was it. My former sister-in-law was the biggest Def Lep fan (aside from myself) that I knew of and I asked Joe if he would be willing to say hi to her if I called her up on my cell. He instantly said, "You bet!" All of them were just plain cool. It was such an honor to meet the guys I had loved listening to since I discovered them in 1980.

I love all the guys in Leppard, past and present...but as talented and amazing as they all are, I think if they didn’t have Joe there from the very beginning, pushing them forward with his enthusiasm and tenacity, they probably never would have made it as far as they did. He was their cheerleader, and we are all so lucky he was (and still is!). Love you, Joe! You are the epitome of the phrase ROCK STAR! ❤️

Joe Elliott, coolest man on the planet. My first love (I was 17 when Hysteria, the best album ever made, came out). Those songs provided the background to my coming-of-age years. Joe's vocals and stage presence are unmatched by anyone, IMHO. Love you Joe! Please just keep doing you! Oh, and congrats on DL's induction into the R&R HOF. Much deserved!

Liked their first 2 albums because they were part of the NWOBHM initially. By the time they went bubblegum, I was already into Metallica and Slayer. They did their own thing. And did it well. Even though I parted ways with listening to Def Leppard, they were undeniable. MTV, radio, everywhere. Much respect to Joe and the Boys! RIP Steve Clark. A true badass🤘🏻

Why wasn't the great steve clark mentioned , he was the main song writer and hit machine, . Joe Elliot is an absolute stand up and humble guy no doubt about that to him and the rest of this great band, but steve clark was the hit song writing machine and even though he had his demons he still was the main factor of that band. GOD BLESS STEVE CLARK. and I don't mean any disrespect to the rest of the band members you need unity to make a great song when in a group but steve was the driving force to the great song writing . LOVE ALL AND HOPE THIS WASN"T TAKEN THE WRONG WAY
