Best festival ever in Greece. Naturally we were there, the new wave of young Athenians. We were about 30-35 individuals who used to listen to New Wave music (several of us "commuted" between Athens and London), mostly at a club with the name Point in downtown Athens. Yes, we were on LiveAid also Waving the Greek Flag. It was perhaps the most glamorous time for Athens and for young people who had dreams and ambitions. As I used to say about my generation; at least we had a LiveAid, what have you done?

I was there for the 2 day rock festival in 1985 called Rock-in-Athens. I live in Florida , and I left high school a month early right before summer break so I can have 4 months to fly to Greece from to visit with all my Canadian cousins who also did the same thing. All 14 of us ended up at our Greek Village, we ended up hearing about the concert and decided to go. I remember a lot of people were mad at Boy George because earlier in the newspapers days before the concert he demanded a police escort from the airport with police motorcycles upfront to show up to the venue.

Ο Strummer είχε κατέβει μαζί με τον Simonon μέσα στους πάνκηδες , αποθέωση . Απο τους clash όμως δεν μαγνητοσκοπήθηκε τίποτε , ήταν όρος , απο όλους κάτι υπάρχει εκτός απο Clash εκείνο το διήμερο
