This is an epic performance. For most other bands this would be their main headline song but for The Cure this is just one of a hundred epic songs...it's almost like this one gets forgotten. Best band in the world..ever, both in terms of music and people.

I agree with your comment about people forget this song because of all the other great songs. I am drinking at the river (Havasu) I started singing this song acapella.and found myself in a quartet with us all singing "get it out get it out,get your f****ing voice out of my head ". No other band is actualy (2022) better than The Cure. The European Tour in this year was very intensive and expansive. Robert Smith is one of the best frontmen ever, carismatic and with a awesome and unique voice.

I listened to this song for the first time in my hometown (Recife, Brazil) in 1987. I bought the LP right after being put out in my country. Today is November 01st, 2024 and I am still amazed how this is an absolute masterpiece. I am glad to be around and enjoy a moment like this.

The single (45 rpm) in '79 of Jumping someone else's Train and I'm Cold, caught my attention, I was a Zep, Rush, Scorpions and Van Halen kind of guy, but that 45 blew me away Robert ( Lol and Simon too ) were on fire, there were many tunes to follow, where Robert showed his guitar prowess, but I soon found his lyrics were even more awesome.

For those who might not know, this is from the "Trilogy" DVD (Live at the Tempodrom Berlin, November 2002), where they play the full studio albums Pornography, Disintegration, and Bloodflowers back to back to back, and then finish off with the songs "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" and this song. I remember randomly buying this CD album along with Standing on Beach for a friend and listening to it for the first time. The Kiss just haunted me like nothing else the Cure has ever done. I decided to keep the albums and gave her a potted plant instead.
