I hadn't seen too many videos for the RIA TM22 Feather, so I thought I would make my own! Here is a short review for anyone interested in this 22lr rifle.

How to you have the sling connected to the stock? I’m a new gun owner & I can’t figure out how to hook it to the stock.

@@TopOnePercentCribs The kind I got from the pawn shop was a little weird. It hooked to the front loop no problem but I had to use a black carabiner to get the thing attached to the stock. Fortunately it appears to have multiple places to attach for whatever solution you may have that differs

I saw you mention you used remington thunderbolt and i did as well but after 300 rounds i had flyers and really bad lead fouling down my barrel from the lead nose. Like real bad. Have you experienced this at all?

@@ericparedes8160 Well not necessarily. I got to about 1K rounds before I had serious issues with jamming. Bear in mind I am usually shooting at relatively close ranges (10 yards & under) so i am not noticing as much spread. When I took it to a friends place, I was having a hard time hitting @ 100 yards & could only get 1/25 on the 200 yd so perhaps I need to clean my barrel and try again. Course there's always copper plated ammo which should be easier on the gun just usually costs more. I'm a pretty bad cheapskate so the thunderbolt is usually what I'm packing for this & my heritage 22 rough rider

I guess i needed to put more oil down the barrel because i swear i couldnt even get my bore brush thru the barrel. It looked like a jagged cave halfway down full of lead. I had to use lead remover. Im gonna polish and oil the barrel better and see if it helps. I got 4000 rounds of thunderbolt so i was concerned. Love my TM 22 its been reliable. @after-worknetwork6095

@@ericparedes8160 Yeah that almost sounds like a bad batch of ammo. Maybe even look into calling remington and see if the lot # associated with the ammo that's been giving you trouble is part of a defective batch. Certainly a longshot but stranger things have happened. That or maybe the retailer that had it stored it improperly/ had it too long

The Ruger precision is a better rifle. I am also thinking about getting this one as well. I’m glad you like to review on it. I can’t wait to fire it myself when I get it.

I disagree that this should be recommended as a first gun . A bolt action 22lr rifle would be my recommendation for a first gun.

@@outdoorman7425 Sounds like it would be sturdier and simpler to go with bolt action, but in all my times at gun counters I don't recall seeing such a gun. I seen the 10/22 and of course this one, but yeah 1st gun should at least be a 22 of some variety

@@mightybeanzfan2008 It's usually just a matter of cleaning w/ gun oil, ideally while disassembled but you can get away with a few drops in the receiver in a pinch. Thanks for the comment!

@@after-worknetwork6095 no problem, but I tried this and it would still have feeding issues, maybe I didn’t clean it throughly enough so I’ll try that again but thank you

For reference I use Remington thunderbolt ammo bc it fits my budget/need. As with anything rimfire ESPECIALLY 22 I know there's bound to be a handful of defective rounds no matter hwhat
