@@leser1music Nope. Like I said, "bassically" album is bassically a collage of bass lines(?) that most of times don't match one with another. Even on this record he could have chosen a higher tuning to suit him better or even present something different, but no, it's the exact same tuning as Korn. When his playing on the low notes, without guitars or other instrument behind, you can't identify what notes is playing (like in Korn). "His timing is like a computer", yeah if you still have a Spectrum ZX! You're really crazy dude or he's your favorite bassist or you're def! His plucking techniques on bass lines are slow af. You even can see that he also got his own sound because of that. Billy Howerdel was actually a guitar tech to many bands Tool including and Maynard offered his services as a singer even tho Billy initially planned to have a female singer. So it’s definitely Billy’s band but Maynard kinda co-created it and wasn’t just invited :)

@Finn Curious as to what all you've listened to from Puscifer. Yeah, I'll be the first to admit its not for everyone, and a lot of it is goofy/abstract, but there's some real gems. 1. Potions - Deliverance Mix 2. Grand Canyon 3. Dear Brother 4. Telling Ghosts 5. The Life of Brian (Apparently You Haven't Seen) 6. Momma Sed (Live at Club Nokia) 7. The Humbling River You yourself said artists should focus on singles over whole albums - and these are all solid songs, regardless of the other "songs" that surround them on the albums.

Dude, any chance of getting part 4? I'd like to add some bands to that list, which is Serpentine Dominion (side project from Corpsegrinder of Cannibal Corpse and Adam from Killswitch Engage) and Pyrithion/Austrian Death Machine (side project from Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying).

Super unpopular opinion, I really don’t like Tim Armstrong. I respect him and i want to like him, I can’t get into anything that has him on it. Transplants were sick, but mainly the songs that had Skinhead Rob singing, or the Rancid songs with Lars singing lol
@Return2TheLiving2 жыл бұрын
Are there any big songs that are dominantly sung by those two? I haven’t ever paid attention to differentiate.
@elijacobschbergfeldmanstei69262 жыл бұрын
You know what? I absolutely cannot stand Rancid nor anything Tim Armstrong is a part of. In my opinion, Rancid is the all time most overrated punk band.

I'd like to hear your take on United Nations (hardcore super group consisting of members from My Chemical Romance, Glassjaw, Converge). Also what are your thoughts on Commissioner (Big Chocolate (?) and Mitch from Suicide Silence). Recently listening to projects like Darko US i gives me that feeling that they (commissioner) were way ahead of their time? or maybe they weren't? Though hearing you rant about bands that sucked is what really brings me here.

A Perfect Circle’s sound isn’t something I usually gravitate toward but they have some damn good songs surprisingly. Kind of a non sequitur but man, I can’t believe how many views your video on AFI got…except I can believe it. Idk what it is about Davey Havok et all, but they are such a band set apart. They always seem on trend without being pandering, if that makes sense. My favorite era was the STS/DU era but everything they put out before those two records were also 🔥. Love your videos!

Hey, Finn! For the next series of the video, I was wondering what you think about How to Destroy Angels, the supergroup/side project of Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails, Error), Mariqueen Maandig-Reznor (West Indian Girl), Rob Sheridan (former art director for Nine Inch Nails), and Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails, Puscifer). As a big fan of everything Trent touches, I am also in love with their music. It definitely has that signature Trent Reznor touch but it also sounds completely new.
