2:01 I love how Dragon Phly dancing cats are in the same tempo as the song 🤣 "Humanoid" is one of my favorite song by ZUTOMAYO. I really like how ACA-Ne is singing the beginning of each verse. Plus the intro and outro in Arabic sounds great. Not to mention the instrumental part, everything is always on point 👌🏻

I don't know if someone in the chat has answered your thing about the instrumental album, but since I have been looking at some of their albums the last couple of weeks I noticed that a lot of their EP's and albums have special editions which include the instrumental versions of the tracks, be it a second CD for the albums or just added on the same CD for the mini-albums/EP's. I don't know if all of them do, but most of the ones I have seen at least seemed to have something like that. Obviously it also means they are not cheap (especially not now after release). The Blu-ray special edition of the upcoming album comes with a second CD with instrumentals and a Blu-ray of a concert for example.

I enjoyed this one. I actually also received my copy of their first blu-ray today. There aren't a lot of more poppy bands/groups that can get me to really enjoy the majority of music I have heard by them and I know the bangers are usually requested more, but I have honestly enjoyed most of what I have heard. I haven't gone through their second blu-ray completely but I enjoyed the part I have watched. I will have a couple of other release coming when their upcoming album drops and I am honestly getting excited for it. That musicianship and just the dynamic writing makes it so much more interesting for me than just regular pop tracks. It makes it easier to forget the vocals if they are not for me (not that much the case though) and gives me other things to focus on. I am kicking myself for purposefully ignoring the name before. Zutomayo seemingly has a lot of rock and jazz influences (at least the couple of tracks I have heard) to the point that it sometimes reminds me of Polkadot Stingray and Gacharic Spin. Accénts new EP is dropping in a couple of days (I like to support young bands like that) and I am probably going to order a couple of extra releases to make the shipping worthwhile when I get a proxy for it. I will probably get the first Zutomayo album with it as well (and Shoka Okubo Blues Project, which is a blues project Juna Serita is in with the same person she is doing Addone with now).

@@DragonPhlyy They hit different than most pop in Japan I have heard as well, mainly the production on the vocals. It sounds way less processed for some reason even though I am sure plenty of work has been done. I generally can not stand a lot of the effects they use to cleanup vocals. It's just one of my petpeeves and it's very difficult for me to not be distracted by them once I notice them (I wish it wasn't the case, it kills a lot of music for me). An other thing I just realized is that their music reminds me of the Persona 5 soundtrack, which I absolutely love and is the reason I started importing Japanese music years ago (years before discovering all these Japanese rock and metal bands) and the game made me start to learn Japanese (I am still not good at all). That soundtrack is very jazzy and funky with a lot of bass and a lot of what I have heard of Zutomayo reminds me of that soundtrack (although Zutomayo is a bit more up-tempo I guess). Thanks again for requesting them though, I probably would have kept ignoring them if you didn't keep requesting them.

@@DragonPhlyy Wave recently did a reaction to one of the tracks, you can check that one out. It might not be for you, it's still a soundtrack afterall, but for me it's probably my favourite soundtracks. Music in video games has come a long way all over the world and Japanese RPG's tend to have very well crafted music nowadays.

@@spinnymathingy3149 It depends on the country you are from, because they are using one of the labels that (at least for the Japanese mzn) don't ship to Belgium for example (maybe Europe?), at least for pre-orders. On the other hand, my copy of their latest Blu-ray comes from mzn Japan so it depends on the item for some reason. But maybe the US mzn can get them as well? If you can get it at mzn, I would prefer them as well. I did my pre-order at CD Japan, that will be more expensive with shipping and customs compared to what mzn would charge, but at least I can get it from there. Either one of those should be good in my experience. I recommend both.
