They are both installed into the Lubbock, Texas Walk of Fame with a giant status of Buddy Holly in the center of the round walls with all the plaques mounted. Most people have no idea the artists out of this area. There is no bronze of Waylon because he was not a Lubbock native but was from Littlefield, Tx about 40 miles west but moved to Lubbock.

It’s no surprise or secret the history of corruption , unfair royalties, and outright theft of musicians artistic authorship, and absolute tragically low percentages of unit sales by greedy record corporations who took advantage of the recording artists. History of reparations forced on them by court actions to pay back royalties continues to this day. The famous MCA decision was the largest class action in the history of the recording business. It’s so prevalent that music schools and colleges include the business end of the industry in their curriculums. For more insight to this issue read books like “ Hit Men”

Jerry had more experience and it was 3 famous guys he should of been the pilot if not told the guys that no flights out because of the weather conditions. I don't think something like that would happen today or if it did there would be big problems for the flight business.

Why couldn’t they rent a few cars? At least they would have heat in them. Hertz car rental was in business back then. I would have rented a few cars or station wagons. In 1975, Led Zeppelin released their classic album Physical Graffiti. One of the songs on the album was "Boogie with Stu". The song was based on Richie Valens's " Ooh My Head". The song credited Richie's mother, Ms. Reyes because Jimmy Page learned that she never received any royalties from Richie's hit songs. Well, Bob Keane sued LZ for royalties. @laurenurban394210 ай бұрын
No. The Big Bopper did not walk or crawl anywhere after that crash. He died on impact with the cold ground and, as someone already stated, pretty much every bone in his body was broken/fractured. He was exhumed several years ago and it was confirmed that he did not have any bullet wounds but his bones were mostly broken. It was rumored that Holly, who always carried a gun, shot and killed people as the plane went down. That rumor was put to rest. Holly carried a gun when on tour because he usually had large wads of cash on him from the gigs they played. A rumor was started years ago that Holly started shooting people as the plane was going down. The gun was found by a farmer, I believe, in the field later on with a bullet missing from the chamber and that’s what started the rumor. It turns out that the farmer who found the gun had fired a round off to see if it still worked.

The channel "Pilot Debrief" shows many times, how flying in VFR can lead to a complete disorientation about the attitude of the plane. When you can't see anything to orient yourself you are lost, if you not have learned Instrument flight. Petersen flies directly into the snowstorm. What is not told in this film are the traces on the ground. They showed, that the plane touched the ground at a shallow angle with the tip of the left wing. Of course petersen would have had to cancel the flight. He suffered from the "get-there-ritis", wich is well known in aviation. It is also possible that he overestimated his abillities or did not want to admit to this prominent persons, that he could not do it. 😢
