Really an awesome idea. Could you taste any flavor that came from the bark itself. I would be concerned that the oils in the bark might give the food an "not so agreeable" taste.

***** i dont know what you know, but this is a very old way to cook food, maybe even older and claypots, this was my first time i use bark, i use to use gras, anyway,, the bark did not give any taste to the food, " this is the best way to cook out doors ! "

hobbexp cool, ray mears also has it in one of his bushcraft series, I believe in the aboriginal britain episode. that's where I first seen it. it's a cool way of cooking.
