Would like to see a video on the theory behind shock placement when your designing your suspension. Height, Angle, etc. I've see a lot that are angled and also some bouncers that are vertical. Just curious what the thought process is behind it.

It changes the suspension spring rate i know that.so depending on the angle will depend on the coil spring rates that are needed

Have you ever been to the West coast? Here in the Pacific Northwest we have a lot of mud. Dirt and rock hill climbs. Not much sand. The preferred tire around here is a TSL bias ply.

I have re-grooved tires with a heat grooving iron but I like your way a lot better. The heat groover works on shoe soles that have lost it's tread pattern. Keeps you from slipping on a wet or oily bay floor. lol

I know it has been 4 years, one thing I am not finding is a talk about axel length. Like is a longer axel better for leverage, or is the disadvantage of wider gurth negating the benefit. It’s also hard to find things on dampening, and how exactly that term applies to the physics of suspension.

Good video... I feel like you could've went over multiple styles of grooving (besides just a Aetna cut) and some of the benefits of different styles for different terrains. Like cutting 'V's in the middle lugs of a TSL and a line through the outside lugs.. It softens up to carcass and allows it the wrap better on roots/rocks especially on lighter rigs. Etc. And you could have went on different ways to groove. Like a grooving iron, air hammer, chainsaw, etc. Despite that, I love all your other videos. Especially the one on anti-squat and anti-dive.

usefull technique, but i wouldnt really call it grooving,.its more removing entire lugs. for most applications id say this is a bit extreme, and deviding up the lugs with a regular heated groover would be plenty
