Thank you for the mention! I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought you would. Of course, I know nothing about rap, since I don’t listen to it. I was impressed that Victor Ma was rapping between Chinese and English lyrics. I agree that Dimash’s opening was weak and hard to hear. But what I loved was the juxtaposition when they “faced off” of the haunting, hopeless melody of Earth Song against the harshness and brashness of the rap. It was mesmerizing to me. It seems so much like the world today: some people lamenting the fact that we are destroying the world while others are so angry and self indulgent. Im just amazed that I enjoy what I consider young people’s music. 😁. Kind of like how blown away I was with Disturbed’s “Sound of Silence”.

Dimash said his "ears" weren't working the 1st few seconds, ye couldn't hear properly, he also couldn't sing too loud or you wouldn't hear Victor's rap..I really liked them together..😊

Good review. Dimash did sound flat in the beginning. But I liked the 2 voices at the end. I’ve watched this video several times and I feel that Victor has that raw violent element, Dimash came in as the soft calming edge. I think it really works. Then the 2 opposites battling together like a huge musical debate. It’s a performance that will grow on you.

This group traveled to many countries with their tours. But, the majority of the audience at their concerts abroad of Kazakhstan are those who were interested in this music. After the world learned about Dimash, people began to become interested in the musical life of Kazakhstan. In addition to them, I can offer a group from the UK "No mad karma", created by Kazakh singer and songwriter Aydos Sagat. This group sings songs in English using Kazakh folk tune.

Hi Chris! Earth Song is a little bananas. I dont think they spent much time rehearsing this together is my understanding. That said, it was pretty good. I dont think you realized that Victor Ma was singing both in Chinese and English in one bar without missing a beat. That cannot be a easy thing to do. This wasnt one of Dimash's best of course but you cant deny he looked as though he was having a damn good time letting loose lol! Sometimes, you just got to have some fun. This was not a good video to react to, but a good one to watch no matter. Actually I was a bit bit stressed out after watching this, very intense and sort of angry. I was hyped after watching looking for trouble lol! Wanna fight?

Once again not one of my favorite performances by Dimash. It was like a battle between Victor and Dimash. But I believe Dimash had fun doing this song. He loves to do tributes to MJ, and so he always does some kind of songs in all his concerts that shows his love for all that MJ did for the music world. I personally don't think there are many musicians that should attempt to perform a song with Dimash unless they are exceptional vocalist. I agree with you about the note that Dimash began with. I definitely believe it was intentional because Dimash just doesn't make mistakes like that and although he did an amazing job as usual I would've personally preferred that he would've started with the original key that the original song starts with! I happen to be a big fan of ”Earth Song” and the message that Michael Jackson was trying to get across when he wrote this song & I would love to hear Dimash perform the song solo and stay as close to the original composition as possible! Just my opinion.

Hi Chris. I enjoy your reaction videos and am a big fan of Dimash. (you have a good voice too). I agree with your reaction. I also found Dimash a slight bit off pitch on his high note. Agree with your comments, just didn't quite fit together on Dimash and Victor. However, Hua Chenyu performs a duet with Victor Ma, Mr. So So on the show "the coming one", where Hua was a mentor. It is mostly rap. But I think it fits Hua's and Victor's style better in this performance. Hua was sick but managed to still perform well. Yes Chris, I am with you here. There is a sudden drop in both energy and volume when Dimash is joining in, and yes, he seems to be off key. Unless he is just speaking there, don't know. And yes, I do not think the two voices match here, but perhaps that was never their intention. And yes, after "Hamilton" this thing feels improvised, but at the same time not spontaneous enough. I don't know. The drummer held it all together though. And they did achieve fantastic build up of energy towards the end nevertheless. Thank you for your reaction, I am glad someone else has similar impression.
