Why only half of the sticky pad for the magnet?

That is just to check placement of the magnet. Once you have it right, then peel and stick the full pad.

Does this design create any kind of vibration or ride issues with the body mount brackets sitting past the bushings instead of up against the body and the sliders bolted to the pinch weld? My intuition tells me the design effectively prevents the rubber body bushings from doing their job and/or puts undue strain on the pinch weld from what little movement the bushings do provide. But i could, of course, be completely wrong on this.

No problems whatsoever. We sell and install lots of these, they are a proven design. We've had them on that Bronco for over a year and no weird vibrations or ride issues.

@@northridgenation I just now realized that I had the same mount design on the Victory 4x4 sliders that I ran on my Colorado for 6y and they were great. Thank you for the follow up.
