Just letting anyone know reading this in 2024/25. The new V3 version does not require trimming for the Mojave and Diesels. It slides on and lines up. I believe Steer Smarts lowered the bevel. Love mine, my Mojave already drove well, not its legitimately one finger driving on 37” and 3.5” lift.

I know many people switch to soft top for warmer months and back to hard top for colder months. Is that possible with the slant back top? I'm not concerned about the hardware pieces, more so the rubber lining on the back with the 3M tape. Would that affect putting hard top back on at all?

You can go back and forth between the OE hardtop and Bestop soft top, though not as easy as with a factory soft top.

I am amazed that you were able to install 40 in tires on a JT that is not the Rubicon model!! I think that yours was not lifted. I have my 2023 Gladiator Rubicon and I was going to install 39 in mud tires on it, I think I need like -12 mm rims and 4.5 in B/S and I might be ok with my 2.5 in front spacer kit and my 2 in rear spacer kit. What do you think? Do you think i am able to install 39 in tires without any mods and only light to very moderate offroad? i like to go in the snow and never rocks or mud or any real flexing of the suspension to mention
@northridgenation3 күн бұрын
Typically, for a Rubicon model, you'll need 4.5" of lift to clear 40s. A 2.5" lift will only fit 37s/38s comfortably. For that non-Rubi JT, we installed a 4.5" Enforcer lift kit from EVO MFG: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaiaaX-gh72Aosk Wheels are Method 106 with a 3.5" backspace: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpuzZXaArLSHgKM We also installed Ultimate Dana 60 axles front and rear: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qonbhmawh72Bj5I Those are 1" wider than OE Rubicon axles. After all that, we still had to install the Rubicon flares to clear the tires at the rear of the front fenders. I will finish by saying you can fit anything if you do enough trimming and clearancing.... 🤣

I have these taillights… just a heads up there is a spot on the back of taillight to snap the harness into so the tailgate retaining arm on the passenger side doesn’t smash the wiring when opening and closing the tailgate. Also you can use a Tazer and forget the resistors. I had to test this myself because morimoto customer service is HORRIBLE!!!! They have a great marketing team, but man it ends right there. Their customer service team knows nothing and I mean nothing about these taillights. Overall the light is great if you are willing to sacrifice customer service. For anyone wondering, this light is better than oracle and has a better warranty, but you are going to have to really push them to warranty anything. Goodluck guys!

But the Oil film stays on the parts for a long time (I'd consider it a dry start after weeks) and the Oil lines get filled via the pump from down below anyway, so this may cut the time in half, but keeping more Oil in the heads low spots, does not make that much sense(and you may leave more of old oil during an Oil change) , but then again I've only ever worked on overhead cam engines...so maybe it does help... A bit. As someone said use a good fully synth oil (PAO or Ester base) perhaps with some quality additive, change often and this problem should not happen.
@northridgenation2 күн бұрын
An oil film will help. However most modern engines have components like cam phasers and timing chain/belt tensioners that need both oil volume and pressure to get operating correctly. Cutting that time in half will definitely help. Is it a fix all, end all mod? No. But we do believe it helps make a difference.

Im not sure this is really a solution. Seems like a "partial" solution - meaning that even if this component can keep some oil from going into the oil pan (as opposed to all of it) there's still NO oil around the lifter, valves, etc upon startup......is this correct?
@northridgenation4 күн бұрын
By cutting the "Up to oil pressure" time in half, the Baxter adapter helps, but it is not a 100% solution.
@JKal-t3u5 күн бұрын
What a load of crap! Let the vehicle sit for 6 months. Drill a hole in the side of the oil filter housing and oil comes pouring out. Why? Because when the filter is pulled out, it opens the drain port at the bottom of the filter housing. The Pentastar engineers are not morons. Designed this way to prevent no oil on a startup. Nice way to screw the gullible public.
@northridgenation4 күн бұрын

does it give the Tail Lights warning signal at start up, for the JL's with factory LED package? two things I don't like about the Oracle Flush mount I have is the Tail Lights out warning at start up and the Blind Spot sensor location doesn't work as good as the factory did. every thing else with the Oracle has worked fine for the five years I had them.
@northridgenation10 күн бұрын
We didn't get the "Tail Lights Out" warning at all. The only thing to look out for is if you have a Tazer Mini and the factory LED w/BLIS. There are some settings within the Tazer Mini (like automatic braking on hill descent/stop light) that messed with the BLIS sensors in the Morimoto XB's. After turning that mode off, the BLIS sensors work great in the XB's, especially since they are facing the original factory position, unlike in the Oracle's that reposition them to point directly behind.

@ it has been said by people with this product that the anti-drain back valves only hold the oil up for about 48 hours if your car is off for an extended period of time, the oil will make it back down and defeats the purpose of this product I think it’s a great idea. I think the kits that mount the ECU to the compressor bracket are a bad idea. The ECU mount is built to cut down on vibration, the printed circuit board in the ECU won't last long with that kind of vibration.
