Great reaction, I am so glad you liked this (I was the one who mentioned it on discord). As some others have said they have go through a lot of different styles although they are frequently a little more on the dark side of things (but not always). As far as recommendations, Ponzona is their debut track and excellent. Sweet Juice is also well liked. And given your fondness for checking our multiple versions (love your Band Maid reactions) you might want to check out Zombie. The regular released version is fairly poppy, kind of a creepy cute, but then they released their Halloween performance video of it. Normally that would just be another video probably with costumes and a darker theme but the same music. But they remixed the song as well into a darker, very cool version.

Purple Kiss' company are known to have really good inhouse songwriters (including the members of the group), but this particular song was composed by a group of Swedish songwriters.

Purple kiss is a very talented group, many of them are writers, producers and choreographers of their own songs. They have a great repertoire of songs for all tastes but if you like this darker side of them, I recommend the songs: sweet juice, pretty psycho, memem, my heart skip a beat. I enjoyed learning more about the music and thanks for the reaction!! ☺️

Purple Kiss are known for not having a fixed style even though a spooky sound has featured several times. There is a bit of that in this song as well. Their title tracks are quite varied, and even more som for the b-side. I would recommend Ponzõna, memeM, Love is dead and Pretty Psycho. The two last are listed as performance videos rather than MVs.

Dreamcatcher is the group best known for combining a dark concept with a rock sound. Purple Kiss debuted 3 years after them. There were actually several groups who debuted after Dreamcatcher's relative success that pursued a dark concept, but Purple Kiss is the best of them. They have their own distinctive sound though, I would say that lean more to the pop side of things, although this song reminded me a great deal of Dreamcatcher. Btw some members of Rolling Quartz are fans of Dreamcatcher, and they covered the DC song Good Night.

Hmm i think i like the more aggressive side of kpop. A lot of stray kids is quite aggressive. I like XG, Aespa, Le Sserafim, and NMIXX for that too.

Purple Kiss debuted 3/15 of 2021. They are the younger sister group of Mamamoo (which you should also check out, best vocals in Kpop see their Killing Voice). And like all RBW groups their vocals are impecable (their member Swan is the best 4th gen voice). They are also very strong dancers (which you noticed) and tend to cover a lot of boy group choreo. I would recomend their debut Ponzon and Sweet juice as next songs to try. They always do a short intro song on their albums that is intended to be performed along with the title track. For the first 5 there is a seperate mv and I'd recomend watching in along with the title. For Ponzona it is Intro Crown. For Sweet Juice it is Save Me. They are heavily involved in the creation of their songs. All of them have writing credits and many have composition credits. Yuki writes nearly all her own raps and last I checked was the second most credited 4th gen artist. Chaein (my bias) has written and composed several of my favorite b-sides. Cursor is my absolute favorite.

The highlight medleys for Geekyland, Cabin Fever, BXX. & Headway have acapella snippets! There is a playlist on their channel called PURPLE KISS debut trailer. There's individual mini-mv's for each of the members. They are all really great (except for Dosie's, but we don't talk about that). There is also a playlist on their channel called PURPLEMANCE. They have some fantastic covers. I personally can't get enough of Swan's James Bond OST Mashup, and Ireh & Chaein's Break Up With Your Girlfriend. But everything on there is 100% fantastic. One dance cover that is a must-see that is not on their channel is their cover of 'Overdose'. That one is on M2 at kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKiVhZ-bedKIhqM And I personally think that their cover of Kai's 'mmmh' is criminally underseen, as it's amazing! That one isn't on their channel either, it's on 1theK Originals at kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zn2mm3evbqmNd5Y

Amazing breakdown! Thanks for checking out Purple Kiss they are amazing! For songs with MVs, I recommend Sweet Juice, Ponzona, Zombie, Pretty Psycho, or 7heaven. But I think their hidden gems are their bsides to their albums. If you’d like to check their albums, Geekyland, Cabin Fever, or their new album Headway is a good place to start. They try a variety of genres and you can’t go wrong with any album. Also about them they also write, compose, and choreograph a number of their own songs.

Thanks for checking out Purple Kiss! They're so talented, but sadly not very well known. They have such rich voices and deliver this darker concept so well. I'd love to see you react to their songs Sweet Juice, Pretty Psycho, and Ponzona as well! Also, since you like bands (agreed that Rolling Quartz are great!) ONEWE is an alt rock band I really love under the same company as Purple Kiss; I'd recommend their songs Montage_ and Parting if you're curious.

First, thank you for the video and for supporting and promoting Purple Kiss.I am not sure how familiar you are with their work but since you asked for suggestions this is a comment I made for a new fan. It's a bit long so I'm sorry about that but this will give you a little roadmap. there's just tons of other stuff but if you follow this it will give you a taste of who they are. One of the constant themes with Purple Kiss is they embrace their geekdom and they are not going to be fit into the cutsie/hepless girly mold. They constantly both encourage uniqueness and promote living in your own lane. Here are some suggestions to introduce new listeners to PK My Heart Skip and Beat and Can we Talk again- These are Pre-Debut and will immediately let you know that they are not cut from the K-Pop mold and you cannot predict what they will do because they are so musically versatile. Next, their Debut, Ponzona. I really recommend the original MV. You will find with PK that they will do many versions, MV, maybe Updated MV, Dance Track, Relay Dance, Practice, etc. Ponzona will be your first taste of their clever storytelling and subtle imagery. For example in the video, On My Bike you may have noticed them eating a pomegranate, this is a nod to Persephone and also reflects a larger musical/group perspective. PK is full of this kind of subtlety and their fans love their little inclusions of deeper meaning. After Ponzona, just to see another huge swing, check out the original MV for Zombie. They did a updated , scarier, version of this which is good too and a different slant on the song Oh man there's so so much more, Skip-Skip is fun, Likewise Pretty Psyco, Nerdy, Love is dead, Sweet Juice is a very fun MV, Bittersweet a great dance track, I could go on and on and on Some of their fun dance covers, Shinee's Ring-Ding-Dong, OneUs's Black Mirror (my favorite), EXO's Overdose. There's so much great dance covers, Song covers I really recommend Mad at Disney MV (this one in many ways is a video representation of who Purple Kiss as a concept and I really recommend this one) and Vegas by Doja Cat. It would not surprise me at all if their next track was a Country and Western song with a K-Pop twist, or Bollywood, or a Traditional Russian Folk song. Purple Kiss are K-Pop but they are so much more than that. Oh dang, Swan did a very spooky version of Dance Monkey which is a dark, but on target, version of the original, and she also did an out of this world version of skyfall/No time to die. this one is a must hear. I gotta stop , I'm sorry for babbling so much. Welcome to the land of Plory you are in for an amazing musical adventure that transcends the typical K-Pop window. Please forgive me for making this just a bit longer. You mentioned their sound. Most K-Pop, from a purely musical perspective, fits into a very very narrow lane. Purple Kiss have incredible musical talent beyond vocally because they often play with creative harmonies and musical flights of fancy. Many musicians, who have no interest in K-Pop, find them intreguing for just this reason. Beyond the obvious they also appeal to people that have in-depth musical understanding. I for example play multiple instruments and multiple genres but my main interest is Flamenco guitar. I hope that you will explore this group because on a purely musical level they are definitey a cut above the typical of the genre. Again I am so sorry aboutthe long message. Oh crap, one more, Correography. They self correograph almost everything that they do.

You should listen to some k-bands since you like rock. I recommend lucy(they have a violin), onewe(they do a lot of different sounds but they're music is always great) , and xdinary heroes(they are kind of emo). For lucy I recommend snooze or boogie man. For onewe aroura or rain to be. And for xdinary heroes I recommend instead or xymphony.
