Vol 3 was such an underrated album. Imo it's in his top 5 albums easily. Reasonable Doubt, TB, then The Black album , vol 3, and American Gangster can switch imo. Blueprint 3 is very underrated, and TB2 would have been better with like 5 less songs. Even The Dynasaty was a great album and Vol2. Dude has a crazy catalog. I would have 2 listen 2 Magna Carter again.

If you was in DC back in da late 90s "throw your hands up" started with a snippet of this go go song made by backyard band and the hook off of hov's song sounded like "overnight scenario" by rare essence. Can someone inform the camera man to stop over exposing the clips. Bring the exp down -1 or -1.5 stops...All their footage is literally classics and deserves to look pristine...

4:07 I don't think they were understanding dude's question. Take the original song out the convo. When he was saying "the original" he was referring to the remix that Rock sampled for the Jay-Z record, being it the origin of that particular sample. I'm sure it was still the same answer, though

Crazy we can't get Kanye on here cause he would have crazy producer stories. Dude was doing ghost production for DDot and his favorite rapper was Mase. Kanye produced on the Harlem World Group album god only knows what else he did back then too.

Would the same thing apply if a verse was sampled? Like if someone was featured on a remix, spit a whole 16 bar verse, and later someone sampled parts of that feature verse. Does that featured artist get paid?

Bro. You aint following along. The answer according to them is NO. They made it clear in that clip. To get around it, make a whole new song. There is no publishing in remixes.
