Guru is a legend. I wrote a paper for about him while studying to get my Audio Engineering degree and have been tuned into him every since. I wanted to learn and help carry on the torch like him in the audio engineering space. I originally wanted to study how to engineer so I could learn to engineer my own voice and be an artist so it wasn’t no one who could stop me from achieving my dream of changing the world. The way Guru hustled and stayed consistent is such a flex. I still want to intern and study under him, because being an audio engineer takes a level of genius and brilliance that most people don’t appreciate. He knows his mics and the plug-ins, and how to create a unique sound is such an art man. So much respect and gratitude to Guru and so many others who are beasts at what they do and help our fav artist sound as amazing as they do. 🙌🏾

I’ve heard several Rocafella people talk on various platforms and one thing that sticks out to me is how much of a positive impact Dame Dash really had on his organization. He really went hard for his team! Notice that Guru said that Dame was the first one to give him the ROC chain. I bet that they all wish that Jay & Dame could have remained friends and business partners. Although Jay is a billionaire now and he’s in a whole new space with ROC Nation, it would be crazy to see what those guys could have continued to build together. They’d be unstoppable in my opinion. Good episode! 👊🏽💯🙌🏾
