Hi there. Ok so my point of view of this is that I don’t ship them romantically. But they are cute together and to me their like siblings and rivals. Even though I dont ship them as a couple i do respect those that do and those that don’t. However I agree that it’s wrong to hate on someone or a ship just because you personally don’t like it. As many others have pointed out Sworn Brothers is a thing. Even if you as a person may not like it or understand it don’t hate on others that do. So honestly this was a cute video and I love seeing wholesome love for others work like this. So all I gotta say is keep up the great work u and so many others do. thank you so much for your kind comment! 😍 I honestly have no problem with ppl that don't ship kaeluc, the only ppl that I do have a problem with are the ones who go out of their way to berate those that do ship them. It is more than okay to dislike a ship for whatever reason however you shouldn't go around calling ppl slurs and tell them to go d*e. I don't get much but I do get hate comments and messages as such and sometimes all it takes is one sentence to ruin my day and it's all because of a fictional ship that they could've easily avoid. I have my own share of notps but you don't see me commenting on fanart/edits of them going like "ew! if you ship them you're a freak and should go to jail" because I avoid them in the first place but if I do happen to see such content I just scroll by, there's no need to spread such hate especially over fiction. It makes me so happy to see ppl like you who respect others for shipping these two despite not shipping them yourself so once again, thank you for your comment 🥰❤

they are NOT even stepbrothers, they are sworn-brothers there are a lot of things confirming this for example this tumblr post: tackypies.tumblr.com/post/632699338040246272/are-diluc-kaeya-brothers but also in the manga in Chapter 2 Flame Born Part 1 Page 1 Kaeya says: 'Diluc is like a brother to me, he's also the richest bachelor of Mondstadt, but that's a mere facade he put's on for show. In truth diluc and I are the same type of people, to put it in simple terms, we are anti-heroes with attitude problems. I don't mind that at all.' Besides that, there are actually A LOT of mistranslations (also unfortunately ingame). Crepus only took Kaeya in after his father abandoned him near the Dawn Winery and so, to have so to say 'a reason' to raise someone else's son, his own son (Diluc) and Kaeya took an oath to become sworn-brothers. For those who don't know what sworn-brotherhood means; in a time in China where people would be chased a sworn-brother would take you in and keep you safe, it's also some kind of soulmate like relationship. You live, fight and die together kind of thing. It's also a common thing in a lot of BL works, for example in Modaozushi/The Untamed. I absolutely HATE the FACT that so many people are just being anti and hating and harrassing people that support this ship! They need to inform themselves before bullying artists. I honestly kinda see their relationship like Eren/Mikasa, Mikasa's parents were killed so Eren's parents took her in but despite that people don't see them as siblings but rather as childhood friends. I would say they're not step-brothers simply because that's just not what "step-brother" means. A step-brother is the son of a step-parent... Kaeya would have been Diluc's step-brother if one of his parents had married Crepus, which is not the case. The closest term to use if one doesn't take into consideration the sworn brothers interpretation is just adopted brother. Simple as that

Kaeya and Diluc have an interesting relationship, according to the game they were bound to the hip and 'closer than blood brothers' before Crepus died. Even after Diluc found out Kaeya's secret he never ratted him out, just like Kaeya kept Diluc's secret about being the Dark Knight Hero. Even though their relationship grew tense ever since that tragic day, they still clearly care about each other even if they bicker everytime they're together :^) And lets not forget about the vase scene, Diluc kept Kaeya's vase even tho it didn't 'match his taste' ❤

I don’t even like Kaeluc but people that hate the ship and the shippers because it’s “incest” annoy the HELL out of me. its not their fault at first if they don’t know it’s a mistranslation but many people continue to shit on the ship even after others explain the sworn brothers thing, and as a Chinese person I find that really damn disrespectful. like, you can certainly see them as an adopted brother relationship. I do too, which is why I dislike Kaeluc. but people, please respect the fact that canonically they are sworn brothers (so not siblings) and that while you can interpret things differently there is literally nothing wrong with other people shipping them as sworn brothers. if you really hate it that much (even after knowing that it’s not a problematic or incestuous ship) just compliment the edit/art and/or leave without saying anything. (which is exactly what I shall do- it’s a very well made edit! also thanks for actually crediting the artists, nobody ever seems to do that T_T)

Mistranslation is sooo fun, It's probably annoying seeing people comment about this all the time, but there are still people that don't get it, Kaeya and Diluc are sworn brothers, and the english translation is well wrong, according to many chinese players, and people who have chinese friends, the translation in english is wrong.
