Honestly one of my favorite Janet choreographies/dance videos. Like you said it's so tight and smooth and they literally look like they're sliding on the floor when dancing at certain parts, I rewatch it all the time. Love that it looks like one (or three) takes. Rock With U is definitely an underrated bop but I've always loved it. It probably would've been a hit if she wasn't blacklisted after the superbowl. You should watch the Feedback video if you haven't already. You should also maybe revisit what's ur name and a few other songs on discipline some of them have grown on me after awhile but yeah it's one of her weaker albums overall.

I'm glad you reacted to this music video, and I hope it'll inspire you to give the rest of the "Discipline" album a second chance. It may not have been some of her best or most personal record, but sonically, it's pretty good overall.

HEY TRE!!! You know it's really cool you started the video journey with this one, because for me.... it was the same, I flat out didn't like it until I saw the video lol, I love it now, and consider it 1 of the best from the album but my 1st listen...yea...But I love too your opening points, that's why I contest that though it's not a great album in her discography (like I say flat out for me it's the worst), compared to the musical climate of 2008 it's not that bad & if it were a number of Janet-esque (Janet daughta's) album's I think it'd be a highlight in their discographies. And your opinion will grow as you will like the more you hear songs it'll grow. The magic of Janet & videos is that no matter how you like the song, the video will make it stronger more often than not. And yea it's funny to think how big ballroom culture is in mainstream now, vs. that was also apart of this too, and I swear I didn't recognize until a few years ago how the technique was like voguing in that every move transitions into another move/pose, and she been on that since Pleasure Principle lol. We love it for the culture!
