This song is my go to when the world is grinding me down, and it makes me smile and feel better every time. Thanks for the cover Fabio! Off the Wall is always overshadowed by Thriller. That record is some of Michael's best work! For what it's worth, with the world being so bent and upside down, I completely forgot about it during that performance. Folks who aren't musicians or grew up around musicians have no clue how difficult that cover is to perform! Folks the studio version of the song uses a seventies keyboard for the lead instrument Fabio alternatively used a guitar with a sense of rhythm with that is quite rare and 👍🙏impeccable! Other folks out there playing an instrument with that perfect tempo and rhythm is typically something that can't be taught. A handful of folks can learn it but typically it's the sort of thing that a gift from above or Genetics! Most singer songwriter guitarists I.E. James Taylor, Jason Mraz, Daryl Hall, etc. Their fantastic! Their guitar playing is strictly for the most part just chord progressions but their voice is so fantastic most people don't play attention to the instrument. Fabio in my opinion play a synthesis of lead and rhythm guitar while singing. He reminds me of a young Tom Johnston, the original Lead singer of The Doobie Brothers pre Michael McDonald. Listen to the Music and Long train coming are perfect examples of of exceptional guitar coupled with fantastic singing. The guitar licks are plain tasty. Fabio if you know either of these songs, In my humble opinion their right in your wheelhouse. I would love to hear your cover of them! Thanks again for the reprieve from the trying times we find ourselves in! 🙏👏😁
