Thank you very much! 150-200 students apply and they only interview 30! Thankfully I was given the chance to receive an interview next month. The only thing that has challenged me, they require a 7minute essay before the interview. The prompt will be given when you arrive.. I've been copying and pasting questions to the word document which I really believe will help. (I am a single mother and I've had people explain that in their interview then I've heard to not speak on it because it can be a disadvantage.. Which I felt was a major reason for picking this career), if you have any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate them! Congrats!

Congrats on getting your interview! The essay sounds intense but I definitely think practicing it a lot will help. I'm not sure that I would talk about being a single mother if I were you, only because they want to know that you have the time to be successful in the program and if they're choosing between you and someone else it might come down to who they think will be more successful. Just had my interview and unfortunately for me all the questions I studied and try to prepare for we’re not asked! I didn’t get a chance to tell them why I wanted to be a hygienist or what accomplishments I’ve done to get here. All the questions asked were situational based like how would I handle this....I’m hoping my answers were enough to get in but I won’t know for another 2 weeks! Your videos did help me feel more confident so thank you! I will be recommending to any of my aspiring hygiene friends!! 😊

I mentioned the ones that I remembered. It was all a blur. If i had to guess the time, probably 15 min or something like that. I got into the program but my plan B was to apply to other programs

You can always reapply the next year or to different programs

If you aren’t accepted and you get a rejection letter you usually can schedule an appointment to talk about your application and why you didn’t get in. I would recommend you do that for me they took some points off but gave them back to me after talking with them!
