To those who don’t Overstand why Jay Z is being inducted. Do you your history. look beyond the instruments used and the style of vocal performances and ask yourself. Why he does what he does and why does all of the inductees do what they do ? what causes his music ? It’s the attitude. The attitude that is born in Black African American culture. He explicitly said his Hiphop hero’s were authentically themselves and he adopted that philosophy. That philosophy is Rock n roll and is Hiphop. Look, I know that Jay-Z is a very iconic artist who has done a lot for his genre of music, but he isn’t Rock & Roll!!! Same with Dolly Parton. I love Dolly Parton and I think she’s incredibly talented but seriously guys, she’s country!!!
