This is why its always good to be vocal when tamashii messes up on a product. Yea people can be really bitchy sometimes but look where the criticism gets us. Imagine if we all stayed quiet, we would have gotten the improvements we got on this one. So so damn excited for this figure. Its likely going to be my favorite action figure of all time. I love guts so much so im so happy they improved on this one. Especially with those wrist pegs. Got mine on the way🥳

The different helmets are how the suit morphs depending on the user, the one he comes in the box with is when the armor is turned on and his rage takes the better of him, he loses all sense of control and goes well… Berserk, the other one where his face pears through is when it’s active, and the suits ability’s are on, but he HAS, control, one of his friends Sherike the with, transfers her consciousness into his mind and mentally holds back the beast from completely taking over, which is why the ears are slightly pulled back because that’s how she mentally holds back the beast of darkness, the skull one is when he puts on the armor at first, signifying that the skull was the demon inside te previous user, I don’t remember if Skull knight was the previous user or there was on after him but it makes sense if it was him, once Guts goes Berserk the suit morphs and the skull isn’t brought back again

Your correct. First ever user was skull knight cause it was made back when he was gaiseric. Guts is the second.

The different helmets and armor parts are versions of the armor. The smoother one is how the armor originally looked before Guts put it on. The jagged version is when it transforms and morphs into the shape of gut’s inner psyche (at least the dark side) which is represented by the beast of darkness who is a dog basically and that’s why the helmet is designed like that and looks that way. So glad they included these accessories although figma beat them to it a while ago. Beautiful figure though and I’m so glad I preordered it. I’m glad Tamashii addressed the criticisms and at least improved some things, but I would still like for them to retry the base Guts form again one day. The first release was so disappointing and this is a series that I love so much so I was both excited and devastated. Hopefully the line continues and improves from here on out. Definitely excited about Zodd but damn am I worried about the price 😅😢

Oh i forgot to mention yeah, the armor is imbued with magic but it’s basically eating away at his life every time he uses it. So it’s consuming him and that’s why one of the heads has the black gunk almost covering his face, but he’s straining against losing himself completely and becoming a husk inside the armor.

​@@diegoberrios3374This is also why this version of Guts is thinner. The armor basically drains him, and by the time he first exits it, he's kind of emaciated. And yeah, I wish they'd find a way to give us a way to improve the first Guts without buying a rerelease or something like that. Maybe make a Black Swordsman Guts and add a second wristpeg in his box that can be used for it to swap out the old one?

Glad that this turn out better, even though I couldn't manage to order him. The price is also another factor. The additional bent knee parts didn't seem necessary, as he can kneel down fine. If there is the full head for this figure, this would be perfect but I understand that this is the armor version. Update: After watching your review, I looked around and found that Hobby Search had a lottery ticket order system for this and I tried my luck and got the news today that I won it. I don't know how many were available but I did not expect myself to actually get a SHF Berserk figure finally.

If the shoulders are like the first Guts, they might be able to get even more range going forward. Definitely takes some patience, but I'm able to cross his arms out front in an X at the elbows. There are entire joints in there that most people haven't discovered yet. Glad to see the improvements here, and feels like Tamashii really took the feedback to heart between this and the Trunks reissue.

Like many other people, I love Berserk. It's very special to me and that's why I was so disappointed with the first figure. It seems we are now finally getting a Guts figure worthy of the name, and it makes me so happy to see it. The articulation is so much better, it's actually incredible, I don't think the additional legs are even needed. (although I appreciate we got some.) Guts finally gets his redemption arc. Worst figure of 2023, to contender for best figure of 2024? In terms of why these figures have so much more detail than the typical DBZ/Naruto etc figures is because that's a fair reflection of the manga. The art in Berserk is beautiful (although obviously also horrific) Kentaro Miura was an outstanding artist. One of the best of all time. IMO.

Now I've never read Berserk, but I do have the first deluxe book, which I will get to before I die. Lol.
