This is surprising for Japan. They usually take really good care of their stuff. Buying stuff at their second hand stores is like getting it new.

Loved this video! When I go to mod consoles, I tend to look for the ones in the worst condition possible. Something about seeing something go from junk to working and unique is just so satisfying. I've never casted my own parts, but after seeing you do so on so many occassions makes me want to give it a shot.

I agree with you, part of the fun to me is always taking something that everyone associates as broken and junk and turning it into something that looks and plays great. Its a very gratifying feeling!!!

Glad to hear it has worked well for you! I have been going with the non-heated version as of late so I dont have to pay as close of attention to it. Takes longer, but the results are good. what I want to test is heated and submerged next. I think that would be really good. Might warrant a video if it works really well!
@Console_Gamer4163 жыл бұрын
I have been using your Salon Care 40 method with the UV LED for about a year and the yellowing consoles turns out great, with out the heat. Yes, it does take a little longer . I like to see the result of your testing the liquid hydrogen peroxide with the heating. Good luck and please post your results. Regards, Hoj

When I retrobrite, i also use 40% hydrogen peroxide cream and wrap it in plastic wrap, then in to a ziplock bag. But I dont use UV lights, I just pop the bag in to the dishwasher on a 70degree C, program for two hours. If its very yellow I run the program two times. Super easy, and it works great!

Love how the PCE Turned out! Especially with that casted power slider :) If I had to make one critique, I am kinda iffy about that AV Booster. I don't see any proper attenuation on the Composite or Audio leads. This can be a problem for your displays, scaling devices, or even the console itself.
@RockerGaming3 жыл бұрын
I do worry about that. There are passives on the board, however, I do not believe they are complete. I am likely going to pick up a ssd3... I was very close to just doing an internal rgb mod on this but opted to pass for that reason. I appreciate the heads up on this av booster!
