(I've only seen game 1 so far) You have to stop thinking about 2s and 1s as the same skill distribution. I've talked about this in your Discord server, but you're practically the same percentile in 1s as you are in 2s. You're actually slightly higher in 1s I think. You say "this is unfair, this guy is a C3", "how is it allowed to play against someone 3 ranks lower", but you're wrong. He's the same rank as you in 1v1 for a reason. You kept complaining how it wasn't fair, *while beating him* , so obviously, it *was* fair. Sure, maybe he was more mechanical than you, but his mechanics were also his weakness. You got multiple easy counterattacks because he overcommitted on a mechanical shot and messed up. That's part of the game, and part of the reason why he's in D1 as a (almost) C3. Please keep in mind that *mechanics aren't everything* . You beat this guy fair and square. You say you beat him because he trolled, but I don't think so. The things that you see as him trolling, are him making genuine mistakes. Higher ranked players also make mistakes, that doesn't mean they're trolling. You being able to identify those mistakes and take advantage is a skill. Don't underestimate that ability. You are better than you think. Sure, your playstyle may make you *look* bad, but there's a lot of subtle skill going on here, which most normal players can't see. Don't underestimate yourself. Now, are you going to go up against people that are wildly better than you are in 1s? Yes, that's the sad reality of the gamemode. 1s is often neglected, causing you to run into opponents that shouldn't be there, although those won't be the general rule, but rather the exception. Most people that *are* a certain rank in 1s, are in their place, even if they don't play the gamemode often. "Not playing 1s" also has its effects on 1v1 skills. (Okay now I've seen the rest of the video too) You end your second game saying "no reason I should've won that, he was better than me in every way, I just kind of hit it around him every now and then". You're 95% wrong. You justifiably won that game, *because* you hit it around him every now and then. You were the smarter player, the better player. Sure, he was mechanically better, but that's where that argument ends. In my opinion, you played the last 2 minutes of the game practically perfectly. I agreed with every decision you made in the later half of the game (with some minor exceptions, but that's fine). Stop thinking so little of yourself. I know that the uprising of clips, highlight videos and montages of high ranked players and freestylers in the recent years have convinced the average playerbase that mechanics are the key to being a good player, but that's *not true* . Mechanics give you options. It's still up to you, your gamesense, to pick the right option for the play. If you don't know which option is the best, then there's little use in having them in the first place. Sure, insert infinite monkey theorem, if they just keep doing random mechanical stuff over and over, at some points they'll accidentally pick the right options, but it's more valuable to have that gamesense first. It makes you a way more *efficient* player, and efficiency is key. The big nuance that has to be told with the very high ranked players being mechanical wizards, is that at a very high rank, the basic options are usually covered and don't work, causing the need to do these more advanced and complicated plays. But at medium-high ranks, it's more than fine to stay basic. Anyway, end of essay here. Good video, nice wins! Keep it up!

Of course 1s and 2s are not the same distribution, but the current distribution is awfully stupid and absurd. OP is C1 in 2s and D1 in 1s, I'm GC1 in 2s and D3 in 1s. I'm hardstuck in 1s because in D3 you face: -5% of C2 and below, -35% of C3, -60% of GC1 and above in 2s. Of course both distribution are not the same and you can't really translate the ranks one to one, but it still doesn't make much sense to have GC1 in 2s being D3 in 1s.
