Each coach or pro has a different understanding of how air roll works, and they explain it according to how it had "clicked" in their minds. My recommendation is to watch as many as you can. One or some of the explanations will suit your reasoning.

I've noticed you saying this a couple times now, and I think I speak for most of us watching when I say that we're watching for YOUR gameplay. It's not dependent on who you're up against. We're watching because we enjoy your style of play and your commentary. YOU ARE your content. Don't stress about tangental things, like repetitive opponents. We're here, and will still be here. Upload consistency is probably infinitely more important anyways. You're doing great man. Just keep going.

Jack we NEED a video going over push vs hook kickoffs and how they’re actually exploited/adapted to in high level 1s. People like Johnny boi and fairy peak have tried making videos explaining it in the past but I feel like NO ONE really understands the concept except super high level 1s players… Like in a real 1v1 game scenario I have no idea when I’m doing kickoff if my opponent tried hooking or pushing the kickoff, or how to counter it if you’re being destroyed by one or the other

i slowed it down watch it at .5 speed. he flipped the wrong way. he side flipped instead of front flip. he would have made contact if he front flipped.

He was too far under it as well , to get thos angle he would have needed to be a bit higher on the ball(and a side flip would have worked)

Hey, just had an idea for a video series and thought I’d share. So I think we all think a pro player doing an unranked to gm isn’t a good look. What if instead you do a live coach series where you take a bronze player and coach him to the top of silver. Then you get a different silver player and coach him through gold. Then repeat all the way to ssl?

Could getting the same opponent be that you are queuing at basically the same time as each other since your game is over at the same time? I run into this problem and if I just wait 15-30 seconds to queue it will be a different person.

Queue times are much longer for people in the top 100, so there's a good chance it would still be the same person.

At this level people try to expect and counter the opponent's kickoffs, at what angle, where the point of contact is and whether you hook or push is part of that. There are pretty much two base kickoffs and there is varying extent of how hard you go for either and the outcome depends on what the other is doing, more or less rock-paper-scissors style.

@@wsky6315 You push by flipping with the direction you approach the ball and you hook by flipping against it. If you spawn diagonal left and you flip left, you hooked the kickoff, and so on.

When coming down off the wall right where the curb is you can jump and pull back on the stick and your front wheels will come off the ground because the ground is curved. It has to be timed perfectly but once you get used to it, it becomes easy.

eu players pressure the play way more than na, na playstyle is to retreat after making a play to get boost and prepare for the counter attack, eu playstyle is more pressure based, staying on the ball more even on lower boost amounts. i personally think ball pressure is better in most cases, but it's hard to tell since both regions are great. though I've heard na players are more mechanical, so their attack is likely stronger in most cases, since mechanical players are often also smart since they usually know their options at any given time. all we can do is to analyse playstyles, it's very difficult to rule one or the other as better, since both of them work at the highest level and neither region dominates the other.

If your flicks were good you'd be consistent with them in-game or not. Just practice more and continue trying them in-game. It's most likely the pressure of the online match that makes you do the right things at the wrong time resulting in a failed flick.

7:40 not just in high rank bro... Im D2 in 1s and virtually every game I play is against someone whom I have played against before. Many times I get the same matchup 3-4 times a session.
