@@kingacrisius why would it not? They were speaking about how the car felt larger than 1.5x the size of a normal car, which it is. Hitboxes in rocket League are boxes and not car shape dependant. If you increase each dimension by 1.5x, the volume increases exponentially in the same way. When you multiply the size by 1.5 you are increasing the X and Y dimensions of each side of the box by 1.5, surface area is growing significantly slower than the volume or "size" of the car hitbox.

The square cube law is often used in reference to muscles, where the cross-sectional area controls the strength, but the volume controls the weight, so you get diminishing results with larger muscles.
