Something I've wondered about is what it would be like to play on ultrawide but with 100º FOV instead of 110º, I like a lot of my difficulty gauging the positioning of things is due to the distortion, but you absolutely NEED 110º to play on a regular monitor otherwise you can't see anything directly in front of you.

I think I can for sure see a difference between 120 and 165… but I agree it’s a massive jump from 60

I'm playing on 3440x1440 at 250FPS. My ultrawide only supports 120Hz though but I see no difference between 120 and 144Hz. I can't decide between sticking to UW or using my 1080P screen though. I use my 1080P mainly for competitive games. But on rocket league it just feels nicer to use that UW and it makes everything a lot easier.

I have the ulta-wide monitor and I am playing theRL. the problem for me is, that the text like: one minute left is covering my screen and it really impact my game during this message. the game is not recognizing that I have smaller screen deppend on colummn and it showing the message in full scale. so jump and fly durring that message is inpossible for me.

What I do is I take my 4k TV and I set the vertical resolution to 1080p, i.e. 3840x1080, so a 32:9 aspect ratio, basically two 1080p monitors side by side. Gives me so much FOV, it's amazing. I feel blind with a normal 16:9 FOV

well there are now 3 very good choices for 144hz utlrawide WQHD 1440p with almost no latency: From Xiaomi, Aoc and Gigabyte for like only 400USD

Go into options inside Rocket League, and click video settings tab towards the far right, inside there you can choose the correct resolution and make it full screen.

i just got a gigabyte m34wq ultrawide monitor, its not curved though. you think curved or non curved is better for rocket league.

😂 I have the 49” Samsung as well, you can go into video settings in rocket league and it will actually play natively at that massive super ultra wide with no black bars, it looks crazy!
