I just thought of a way that they could have made Rocket Robin imagery showing up in Spider-Man make sense. In the Spider-Man episodes, they could have had the Rocket Robin stuff be illusions created by Mysterio. Mysterio had appeared in previous Spider-Man episodes, so they had animation of him that they could have used.

It's funny to look at how shows made in the days before home video were different. They didn't expect audiences to watch the show back to back, in order, or probably even to see all the episodes (let alone make fun of them on KZbin decades later), so reusing footage/plots was a lot easier to get away with. That, coupled with the lack of budget and the fact that they legit probably didn't care, is why so many cartoons of the time were like this.

I think at this point kids would've noticed, but they just didn't care and were probably merely worried about technically meeting their required number of episodes. Edit: When I wrote "they just didn't care", I was referring to the people that made the show, not the kids. Although I imagine the kids also stopped caring about this show and stopped watching it by this point.

I noticed the reuse of animations when I was a kid watching 60s cartoons in the 90s. Reminds me of great parodies of the genre like Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Sealab that really made a point to reuse animations as much as possible for fun.

You know, despite how flawed and absurd Rocket Robin Hood is, I do like the concept and some of the background and character design look pretty interesting. I really wouldn’t mind for a reboot of this series, similar in vain of the He-man 2002 and Thundercats 2011 series.

The 'Stone Elephant' thing is actually very simple. Like the difference between the American Opossum and the Australian Possum. Elephants are the grey mammals with long trunks and flappy ears. Stone Elephants are small Kaiju that are a Rhino / Dragon hybrid.

"Rocket Robin Hood is nobody's favorite cartoon." At one point in my childhood, it used to be my favorite cartoon... Teletoon would air it back in the 2000's abd i would watch it for whatever reason. I guess the concept of Rocket Robin Hood in space was pretty cool to me... but man even for a 60's cartoon... so... much... tedium!

Other than the Revolt in Dementia Five, I hope you cover some more '67 Spider-Man episodes from season 3 where I believe they pulled a few cut/pasted jobs from seasons 1 & 2 in order to make some odd-looking monstrosities that passed for episodes. Hilariously fitting that the final episode of the series was a partial clip show.
