my cousin is deaf, but still kinda likes to "listen to music", feeling the vibration of the noises, like the beat. This is one of her favourite songs, since it "buzzes really nice" and instead of just having a repetitive cliche beat, it has a melody with a load of unique sounds. just something i found interesting, like cavetown is so good that even deaf people like it 🤠
@esme61004 жыл бұрын
Woah, this is really cool. I haven't really met anyone that's deaf yet and I wanted to ask them what the world is like for them, but learning sign language or an alternative would be required for that. Maybe I'll do some online research too. Anyways, I have some questions. Do you think you or your cousin could answer them? It would be really cool if you could! Does your cousin understand/can read words(in her mind or some other way)? Can she compare the way the world is like for her to articles about others who are deaf online(if she can read it in her head, if not, there's always sign language if she knows it)? Or is it somehow different for her? If she can read in her mind, then how does the little voice that kinda reads for her pronouce the words? It sort of hard to explain; but I'm really interested!

I believe this song is about losing a loved one. When rockets ships say they take off it means the person that died is leaving and you can't go with them. Also the first one where it says written words it also means that I wish I could say the things I wanted to say when your here. And when it says a put a flower above you It means like a grave when you visit someone you leave flowers and you can watch it grow. A then when it says the world still turns without you. Means life goes on without you but the memory is still there.

Sure the production is not the greatest and all, but the lyrics are so moving. “I’ll simply plant a flower above you, and you can watch it grow.” It just shows you that you’re more important than you think, and that you affect more than you know you do- but you’re not important enough to stop rocket ships. This song has such a deep meaning to me and I love it. To me he’s telling us that the world will still go on without you and that everything will carry on, but people will still be effected. I believe he’s telling us that when you don’t believe in your own worth and are suicidal, sometimes people die from a successful suicide attempt, it’s like he’s telling you that when you died you took place in something so much greater than what you could imagine, and it’s that you became earth and you are part of what holds every living thing together.

I think the meaning of the flower part is, flowers don't exactly always have a worth, but it's something that bring people joy, and some flowers can have healing properties, do we all have a hidden worth inside us, and even when something as small as a flower wilts, we still feel sorrow. There will always be atleast someone who loves you.

Please don’t tell me this is a suicide note. I know i’m late and if this is i’m already probably too late, but i hope you know, people love you. I know i just sound like one of those horrible “friends” that think they know what you’re going through, but really, it’s true. I hope you live a long, happy life. ❤️

Wow, Robbie really did come a long way... Nevertheless, this song is beautiful. Gold will always be gold, I guess :) I'm a big cavetown fan, but I came across this song completely by accident... and I'm baffled, because I've been looking for a song like this for several years... I'm been trying to figure out how to convey this exact sentiment, I even came as far as to try and write something of the sort myself... It's really quite amazing, how things happen sometimes.

I'm listening to this after forgetting about it for a couple of years. It's weird because I know my interpretation of it has changed. "I'll simply plant a flower above you, and you can watch it grow" feels more like a message of: You're the only one who can decide your worth in the world. The flower being love and support no matter how much your worth is. Watching it grow is like what you decide to do with the love, with your life. And by deciding your worth I don't mean like "you always have to give 100% to be worth something" I mean like mentally you measure your self-worth. Mentally you give yourself a worth and that's going to change. When you're taking care of yourself, loving yourself, making your life feel worth it to you. That's true worth. Not what other people measure you by. When you're happy, healthy, (live, laugh, loving lol) That's where it's at.

With this song, I can feel the beat resonating in my heart. I...feel like I can relate to it. I ask myself what I'm worth sometimes, or why I'm here or why I shouldn't just disappear into myself. It's nice to hear this because I feel like I know why I should stay and what I'm worth...

Stupid as it sounds this reminds me of my goat Thistle, who died a few days ago. He had fatal stomach issues, and I was sitting with him when he died, my only wish is that we could have gotten him to the vet so it wouldn't have been as painful. I'm feeling a bit better though, and I hope he's happy over the rainbow bridge
@esme61004 жыл бұрын
Aw, I hope you're okay now! I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure Thistle is happy over that rainbow bridge, though. I'm sure he'd forgive you any day for not being able to get him to the vet. He knows you didn't mean to; it's a gut feeling.

This song means so much to me. I just moved from Paris where I had been living for the past 2 years. It’s an experience I will never forget. What meant most to me there were my friends of course. This was a song we often sang. I listened to it a lot then. On the last day of school I had prepared and edited a 9 minute long video of photos and videos of us together with this song in the background. I miss Paris so much, I never even imagined it to be this hard to leave... every time I listen to this song now it makes me cry. “Would it be okay for me to stay?” 😔

I like flowers; what's your favorite flower? Did you know that talking to people with purposely good grammar can either: lower their self esteem slightly, make you feel smarter than them, and help you with your language arts grades? Yes? Was this an excuse to practice my grammar? Yes. Was all of the above actually fake news? It depends! So step up today and give me your dog in a box and you get absolutely nothing! It costs 0$! And 10 cents!

I have always admired humanity. They smile, and they laugh, and they love one another so much. Sometimes, people will be cruel, and others will suffer at their hands. Sometimes the world may make those people feel so meaningless that they even make themselves suffer. They feel so alone, which is a feeling I can relate to all too well. I have been ignored for a long time at the hands of even those poor souls, despite my every effort to make them feel loved. While these efforts may have paid off, they still did not notice me. I have been to every corner of the earth, I have been to every planet, every moon. I was a child once; my thirst for knowledge still alive and well. But I had nothing more to explore, nothing more to learn after my billions of years in consciousness. All of it was familiar to me, all but one thing: a human life. After awhile, I began to tire of meaning nothing to humans. I wanted to be one of them. I remember the day humanity first stepped foot on the moon. I saw the rocket ship thrust itself into space, and for the first time I felt emotion. I felt sad that I was not able to experience space like they got to. Space was familiar, boring even, to someone who grew up there and observed every solar system in existence. Yet; I wanted to experience it as they did. With emotion, with starry-eyed amazement lighting up my eyes. I realized that day that I can go anywhere I want to go, see anything I want to see…but I will never be human. However, I am starting to feel like a human does. There is a human girl on Earth, one that notices me each and every day. She was the first person to ever care for me, and to make me realize I matter. She told me that I matter just as much as the stars lighting up the night sky, even if I am just the darkness between the light. She told me that I am a person- not only that, but that I am worthy of love. So I am content, being the feared shadow in every doorway. I am alright, being the night sky, the forgotten depths of oceans, the antithesis of warmth. I will be happy forever, if this little star I have learnt to love can smile. -the shadow of the universe
