Silent Singing contains some nice photos from Ian. It would be nice to see some more of Ian's a full photo book.

Henri Cartier-Bresson, with a digital camera. I think he would have missed the effort required to get his pictures. There is an amazing reward that comes with success after failures and struggle. The process is enriching. Ansel Adams, liked hiking up the Sierras just as much as he did getting his best landscapes or playing the piano. That said, with my failing vision I'd be useless without automatic focus. And, admittedly, after a few days in the dark room the smell and fumes would have been enough for me to be happy with my digital. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing this book.

Ich verstehe zwar nicht viel Englisch, aber ich liebe Ian und seine Musik more than 50 years. This hobbie haben inzwischen sehr viel Menschen. Bei uns gab´s nur die Pentax und den Pouwa Start (Plastic). Greatings to Ian Anderson - the mastermind. Ich habe nach der Wende ´89 - 9 Konzerte besucht. The last im Schloßhof Salder und dann noch in Schwerin. He has many fans in East Germany. Sorry - in Ferropolis war ich leider nicht dabei!

Is it me, or does Ian’s speaking voice sound more American. less English, than it used to ?

He is just not as pretentious as he used to be!

@@NuntiusLegis When you've listened to Ian speaking in interviews and in concert as long as I have you'd understand, or you could just keep disagreeing with my every comment as you've been doing for years now.

@@NuntiusLegis Nothing is pretentious about speaking the way poeple spoke where you grew up? That was not the earlier question. OP asked if his voice has changed, and it does sound less pretentious to me. When I listen to Ian's early speaking voice he is very articulated and has a very affected manner of English accent. Not so much these days.

@@NuntiusLegis OK, Ian grew up with his buds in Blackpool. I think before that he was in Dunfimline(sp) Scotland? When you listen to Ian and then listen to other members of Tull, Ian had a much more affected upper-crust accent. I think he gradually dropped that as he got older, or maybe it is just that he actively affects that accent when he thinks about it, and it slips his mind now. I don't know, all I can say is that I notice a slight difference. It makes no difference to me. Why is it worth arguing about as so many things seem to be to you? What part of Germany are you from?

For once I'll take no lessons on anything from IA's lips! I speak as press snapper of 30+yrs standing with national press publication. He is bang on in his assertion however, that the most important thing is the photographer not the camera. Like most amateurs he has really no idea what being a professional is about. There is a parallel between amateur photographers and amateur musicians however, both have all the gear but no idea !!! 😂!!
