The Rocketbook Everlast; is it worth it? In this video, I go over the PROS, CONS, and provide some TIPS AND TRICKS I have picked up along my Rocketbook journey. My verdict: Yes, it's worth it. I've been using it for about 6-7 months to take notes in school and I've been loving it so far. It has helped me be more productive, have less clutter in my life, and be more environmentally conscious!
Here are some links to the resources I've mentioned in the video:

Don't use the eraser, it ruins the coating and that's why you keep getting the brown marks. Wash the towel out and hang it to dry when it gets dirty. I recommend having 2 of the towels so one is always clean. Use a water brush pen to erase small areas.

Ya I realized that after a while! Very disappointing on the eraser part, but the water brush pen is a great tip! Thank you!

I ordered a rocketbook and then decided to find tutorials. Thank you for this. My question to you is, how do you overcome the objection of "why not just use a tablet and a stylus rather than use a notebook?"
@TracyRainbowSu
@TracyRainbowSu 4 жыл бұрын
Well, the Rocketbook feels closer to traditional writing, which was the main point for me. A stylus on a screen just could never replicate that. I also like having pages physically infront of me to flip back and forth without the friction of looking through files on a screen. I also never worry about damaging it, charging it, and I can easily just bring it around with me and start writing subtly.
@kd5nrh
@kd5nrh 4 жыл бұрын
I sat on my Rocketbook Executive yesterday. I went back to writing instead of crying about an expensive broken screen. Pretty good reason in my book. Plus I'm usually taking notes on stuff I'm reading on my tablet, so it beats the heck out of switching screens constantly.

Hey Tracy, I would like to buy this for my boyfriend for Christmas but I have a question. Can you erase in these notebooks while writing? I don’t mean, at the end of the day when you want to clean the entire page but let’s say if you’re writing and you make a spelling mistake is it possible just to erase the mistake without having to clear the entire page? Thanks!!

How long can you leave the ink on without it leaving a gray residue?
@TracyRainbowSu
@TracyRainbowSu 5 жыл бұрын
About 3-4 days but it's hard to keep the book entirely gray residue free. But, I find that the frixon erasers ( amzn.to/2GUntz1 ) clean better than just wiping the Rocketbook :) Hope I was helpful hahaha

Great review! Do you know someone left-handed that uses it? I'm fearing it could be difficult not to smudge if the ink doesn't dry pretty fast...
@TracyRainbowSu
@TracyRainbowSu 4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks so much! Sorry, I don't know anybody left handed that uses it, but I tried writing with my left hand with mine (I'm not left handed but I tried my best haha) and it didnt smudge. I even intentionally dragged my hand across the page after writing a couple of words. I would say, as long as you aren't the type who leans all your fingers against the page when you write, there will be enough space for the words to dry. I would also recommend using the 0.5 size Frixon pens because it's thinner, so less ink flows out, therefore it dries faster. I think that's part of why my experiment went so well. The only thing bothersome about it was the notebook spine. I've heard that some people write with the book upside down (spine on right side) or sideways (spine on top) because of the discomfort with the spine. There's also the Rocketbook mini with the spine on top, but it's very small. 3.5 inches by 5.5 inches: amzn.to/2WoYydQ Hope this helped! Take my advice with a grain of salt though since I'm a fake left-handed human LOL

This video explains quite in a simple way that makes easier to understand but the (sorry if it distract) handwriting can't be easy to be read when using 480p when I use 1080p it is not that different. I think the quality of the camera? For the book itself I think its useful, but what I'm worried about is the pen's ink. :v I hope you can suggest to me or convince me about the pen's ink. I will support your channel for the better one... I think you can create a video about your school lesson or other stuff from that book? It must be interesting and comfy. One more thing, try to be confident by using your face on the video. It is cute you know. :)
@TracyRainbowSu
@TracyRainbowSu 4 жыл бұрын
Aw Thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment!!! I'm working on the confidence thing haha :) What worries you about the pen? The Frixon line of pens writes pretty smoothly for me. It took a little time for me to get use to the feel of it, but overall I haven't had any issues with it. Thank you also for the video suggestion! It'll be fun to make a video on how I use the rocketbook for school, so definitely expect one coming up! Thanks for the support and sorry about the camera quality!

Tracy Rainbow Su I am going to try out Lichtturm Whitelines. With those I can write using my quality Lamy pens with multiple colors - and hopefully get a better scan than with Office Lens. You should take a look and maybe give them a try. Not erasable though..

Tracy Rainbow Su Bought an A4 and A5 size notepad from Whitelines (not Leuchtturm) who licenses the technology for a specific notebook. Works extremely well, can use any pen type and color (except white(!) and very pale ones) Just look for "whitelines notebook" on KZbin. With your artistic skills this will likely be a good tool once you get used to draw on light gray paper with a subtle white dot matrix background. Dots help align drawings, but disappear entirely when you scan the page with the app Scan happens automatically when the app sees the white corner symbols on the page - and only captures your content, not a bit of the table or other background. But - needs to be experienced to fully appreciate 😀
