The silver tank stripe looks original. I would definitely keep the silver stripe. As for me, the clock dial upgrade just “fits” the Speed Twin, the tidy tale is nice, along with the black chain guard and the carbon fiber bits. The radiator guard is a necessity. You certainly picked a nice one. I’ve never thought to add a sticker to locate the air valve! This alone is simple, but ingenious. Most all of your simple changes are indeed fitting. Thanks for the overview.

Good information. I can say without equivocation, over time all tank bags scratch the tank, and the magnetic ones are the worst. Motone Customs use high quality 3M pads and they stick just fine, but beware of cheap Chinese knock-offs. Wipe the tank area down with some isopropyl alcohol first and let it dry thoroughly for a couple of minutes. Then, once you have put the pads on, try to fix a bungee cord or similar to press them firmly to the tank for 24hrs. I get my Stealth Edition at the end of the month, I'm already eyeing up what I can throw money at and strap onto my bike. I didn't get any money for mods but the bike was discounted by £1500 so I guess that's mod money 🙂 Does anyone do a hugger for the speed twin, I have looked and not found one as yet.

I got a set of the YSS shocks and they came with 4 thin flat washer. I could not find where they would be required? Did yours come with them and if so did you install them?

500 in free accessories! Yes please! First thing for myself would be a windscreen, a real windscreen. Then luggage. The most available. I’m done.
@RocketMan_Moto3 жыл бұрын
I agree that having a proper windscreen is great when you're on the move, but I don't think the looks suit a bike like the Speed Twin.
@robbyclark69153 жыл бұрын
@@RocketMan_Moto I hear you about the looks. I’ve just grown so accustomed to one that it’s almost a necessity for me now…..almost. I would look for one of the detachable ones. It does look out of place at first, and nearly every bike looks better without one, but nothing can beat a windscreen when you’re blasting down the highway at 75 mph for an hour or more. Well, enjoy your beautiful bike.

@@robbyclark6915 Couldn't agree more, especially if you are riding everyday on a tour, even at 50-60 mph it makes things so much less tiring.

How about frame sliders or engine guards?

Never really felt the need. If I drop a bike, I just spend the money of new parts rather than sliders, etc.

Disappointed with Triumph if that's the 'best way' you can spend £425 to be honest.... they need to 'expand' there 'add on' catalogue :-) I thought Triumph did 'knee pad' protectors? Not sure why you would need 'screen protectors' on 'normal dials'...not had a normal dial fail / crack in 40+ years? Have you? PS Who's TMF? :-) Forgot to say, I love your honesty and 'say it as it is' videos.
@RocketMan_Moto3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Paul. I preferred the Motone pads to Triumph’s. The screen protectors are more for scratches than breakage; the screens are plastic😊

I know Euro 5 stops a lot of tinkering, but are the baffles removable on the stock exhaust?
@RocketMan_Moto3 жыл бұрын
I don't know, but tbh I wouldn't want it any louder. It's a nice deep sound, but it is loud, especially in our underground car park, for example :)

i love the silver tank strips the best. why does triumph build a classic styled bike then put that ugly modern wacky khaki on the bikes? sure its ok for croth rockets but to make a classic style with strips lines and blobs of color all over it just doesnt make sense. the paint should represent the style of the bike and not look like a sport riders helmet clown puke paint.
