I absolutely love Ronnie! I'm disabled with a terminal illness, and I don't have much mobility or time left anymore. Things like going to a concert are monumental tasks for me. But when Ronnie is in my city, I try never to miss a show. Seeing him and his band brings happiness to the very limited life I have. What makes it even more special is that my older teen daughter loves them too, and she accompanies me to these concerts as both my caregiver and my "rock out" companion. When we are completely letting loose and enjoying Ronnie's amazing shows, it allows me to escape my pain and anxiety for a while, which is huge for me. This guy is so funny, so passionate, stands up for his views and opinions without backing down, doesn't take himself too seriously, yet is like a god when it comes to musical talent and creativity. I feel like I can relate to his "zero fucks given, I stand behind what I say" kind of personality. I doubt you will see this, Ronnie, but just in case, you have genuinely had a huge impact on my quality of life. As my disease progresses, it's harder and harder to attend concerts. But I will continue to show up and lose myself in your artistry as long as my body allows. Thank you for giving me a temporary escape and for the amazing memories you gave to me and my daughter. You rock, in more ways than you know, Ronnie!

wow, so well written. I absolutely love this. Im 36 and became disabled in the last few years. I have to use a walker to see shows. And I 100% feel you when you say it allows you to escape your pain and anxiety. You have your daughter too, which is so huge. I have my future wifey, and we'll sway to death core and metal as if they were love ballads. Carry on my friend!

I saw ETF play at Warped Tour 06, I was OBSESSED with Ronnie Radke! I stood on a picnic table and sang every single word to every song while I watched him mumble the words and fall all over the stage drunk af. Then I watched FIR play at Rockville this year and he was ON POINT. I honestly cried. Way to bring it back man, I'm so proud 🤍

Ronnie is inspirational. He's been through some shit and doesn't let that stop him, he grows from it to better himself. Takes the bad things and grows as a person. Seeing his early days to now is so motivating and uplifting. On my worst days I'm always going to FIR music, "Fashionably Late" being the best album despite some questionable cringe songs it really let's you know you are not alone. What I love about his music is if you have never met the guy, you still get a sense of who he is what he is about and that speaks volumes itself. I have never met the dude personally but would love to at some point for real, but in any case his music has gotten me through a lot of tough shit and I will always support FIR, and anytime they are out on tour I'll be there even if there is some travel involved. Mad respect for this guy since the early years and it only goes up. Keep doing what you are doing my brother and maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to meet someone I look up🙏, if not that's ok, the music has already so much more than I could have asked for!

It's because people have become too sensitive. They will argue that everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, and then tell you you can't have your own opinion when your mindset is not inline with theirs. They will talk sh*t about you because your opinion is so offending and then act like the victim when you turn it around on them. They don't like the fact that he says what he thinks or what is factual. People act like celebrities owe them something and should be ready to change who they are to please the masses. There will always be someone whom you aren't their cup of tea. I'd rather be true to who I am as a person and be happy, rather than change who I am to please others. True friends know your flaws and still want you in their lives with no expectations.

@angizzz it will come more easily as you get older. Just have to remind yourself that it's better to be true to yourself and let others' opinions roll off your back. It definitely isn't easy growing thick skin when we are taught that we should care about others' opinions. The only one that has to live with who you are is you, might as well be happy when you see your reflection. Best advice I can give came from Dr. Seuss, "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind."

There's a term for what he's describing re: the difference in how people react when they can vs cannot see your face. It's called Textual Depersonalization - it's very easy to forget you're talking to a person and subsequently easier to project your mood onto what you're reading/listening to without a face or other visuals to help your mind accurately process information. This is a problem psychologists have known about for decades, but the invention of Twitter really amped it up to 11 and has provided some stunning examples of people forgetting they're talking to a person.

We look young now days. Go back to the 50's 60's 70's or even 80's. 30-35 looked like what a 45-50 year old looks like now. This is a result of chemicals in the water, food, etc. and varying genetics. Kind of nice, but it comes with a price.

Ronnie is truly an inspiration, no matter what other people say, haters just listen what works best for them but the real fans know what he’s been through, most people would give up in his situation but he didn’t, he used that time to prepare his impact in the music industry and came back like the goddamn pro he is.

Thank you Brian and Ronnie for this interview. An hour and 24 minutes of Ronnie being real was just something I needed to see and hear. Reading texts without contexts can be a harrowing experience. I'm an autist, 45 years alive and breather, and it's bad enough that in person-to-person communication I have trouble picking up on social/conversational cues that reading a forum could oftentimes take me a good hour because I am analyzing the context before responding, if I do at all. I wish more people actually processed (says the autist with mediocre processing skills) what is being discussed before reacting on social media, but I guess emotional vomit has become the norm in social media. I will read, start commenting, read what I've typed out, then delete the whole thing because I don't want to feel drained and exhausted at the end of the day over a negative comment that very well may have been posted by a bot or a negativity vampire (those that post a few sentences with trigger words and sit back, watching the verbal massacre unfold and soak up all bile spouted over something so inane and insignificant). Social media today has solidified the adage "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers" -an evolution of many sayings over decades of history

Ronnie Radke has experienced a lot in his 40 years. I am old enough to be his mother. I love him, and so does my daughter. He is a remarkable man. We all have skeletons in our closets and do things we regret. He is human. He has done nothing that could change my opinion of him. I love Ronnie Radke. I wish people would stop making bad comments. Please be kind, or don't comment. Please. I love his new song. I will be seeing him in concert with my daughter!

Ya went down the rabbithole, huh? Welcome aboard. The talent in FiR is unquestionably some of the best around. The dude currently on drums, Luke Holland, is just.... mindblowingly good. The bassist is one of the best vocalists I've ever heard. And then there's Ronald, I guess he's kinda ok, you know, for a musical genius. I saw them live in October and... just... whoa. If you end up near a tour date, do it.

I can attest to how nice Alex from STP is in real life. I opened for him in like 2019 (I think?) it was the 10 year anniversary tour for This is Exile (WC), at Diamondz Event Center in Jerome, ID- the whole lineup from opener to headliner was my band (Living in False Eyes), Slaughter to Prevail, Oceano, Chelsea Grin, & Whitechapel. All of the guys in Slaughter to Prevail watched us play our set and they were super supportive & super nice, and Alex was so positive (we were shite at the time lmao), but they complimented us and just showered us with kindness- and then when they played Alex got emotional talking to the crowd about how grateful he was to come tour in the US and everything Dude it was amazing, 100% genuinely those guys are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, especially in music

I love this interview, especially how honest Ronnie is. He’s perfectly imperfect-he has a big heart but can be an a-hole at times. He tries to do the right thing, even if he messes up sometimes. Anyone who really listens can see his genuine kindness. Despite the hate, he remains unapologetically himself. I see a lot of myself in him. There have been many times in my life where I’ve tried to do the right thing, but someone else got their story out first, leaving me surrounded by enemies who won’t hear me out. Ronnie is a great example that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing and do amazing things. What an inspiration and legend! 🤘🖤🤘

Huge point being made that real rockstars are missing now. Everyone is afraid to offend and deviate from the majority. In the metal and rock space we are the outsiders very often so screw trying to please everyone. Ronnie is no one but himself and people hate him for it. But they dont listen to his lyrics or see him being such a legit person talking about how the world really is and trying to laugh crap off. Dont take everything you see online so personally, theres always more there if you were to sit down and have an actual conversation.

One of the best concerts I’ve been to. I know not everyone will get his sense of humor and that’s ok but dude is hilarious and knows exactly what he’s doing. I absolutely adore and respect Ronnie Radke. He cares what people think, but what he chooses to do is not work hard at changing only their opinion- he looks at the bad situations he's in and thinks about how to make himself better, and being better is how he changed people's opinions. That's exactly what I wanted and needed to do, and Ronnie's music helped me through the hard parts (quitting drugs, admitting things, leaving toxic people, etc.) Thank you for doing you Ronnie, keep going ❤ Ps.
