That was enjoyable Nathan! I like how we are seeing the mark in daylight gives some good context to the video.Some terrific shots there of that skyline too you made me want to buy a Century eliminator with that rainbow backing shot there. It really is the tool for this sort of ray fishing by the looks of it. Interesting the size of baits you use- Ive gone back to thumb sized baits as was missing fish - but ill have a look at your rig set ups. My catch rate for ray definitely went up last year with longer 'up and over' pulley rigs. I have a feeling they are put off by the spikes on sand because shorter pulley rigs don't catch as well. Love that first push of the flood and some Big tide moonlit fishing too. Must take you ages to edit your videos and keep walking back to the camera!

Great session and some nice thornbacks. I love it when they just swim off with the bait. In my own experience on big tides, I get far more over low or high water, but not so many if the tide is really honking. 🎣

@@SlippyLimpets brilliant mate.... Am the same in limbo just now with fishing coz it's the in-between.. was supposed to be out skate fishing today, but sadly the stupid wind gods had other ideas...so that the first boat trip cancelled this year... Hopefully it's not a rerun of last year.. need some sunshine and less winds... Fingers crossed..aw the best 🎣🎣🎣🎣

Nathan we have lived in spain for 5 years and surf fishing is the big fishing style where we lived in the alicante area and durada was the fish they all tried for like your set up i prefer spinnfishing and like things to happen instaed of waiting i fish seabass in the white water being careful of the baracudas coming for mig bass beach fishing do you try this sometimes i think i have seen you do it just a little info thankyou once again i am salmon trout fishing tommorrow in the south of sweden with a sliding lure with one hook saves the 3 hooks from stones and other stops salmon trout are very decisive they can jump of just when you think you have them tight lines to you peter from sweden

Yes lm laughing now but the infuriating mystery lost item of kit you cannot do without is a favourite of mine, reading baiting up glasses been my nemesis🤦🏻♂️ Usually in the most obvious ridiculous place l sympathise like on my head 😂👍🏻
@SlippyLimpets9 ай бұрын
I much prefer lure fishing as well, and I have fished surf beaches for bass but rarely film them. It feels great pulling a fish out of the froth and rips with a light spinning rod. I like those Line-Through lures too, from companies like Westin and Savage Gear, and always use them with single hooks, accept I swap the ones SG supply. I keep loosing fish on them! I hope you got your salmon. Tight lines Peter 👍🎣

Leaning on your experience here, but I'm looking for new wader boots, do you recommend felt or rubber soles in general?
@SlippyLimpets9 ай бұрын
I don't use them, Brian, I tend to use old running shoes and screw studs in. They're much lighter and nimble that wading boots. But, I think felt works best in the rivers and I'd go for rubber if you're using them on the coast
