John Beaudin has been in major market radio (Edmonton, Vancouver & Calgary) for 38 years and a music journalist since 1989. He graduated from Broadcasting school as a newsman so he would have the skills to write about the artists that inspired him since he bought his first Elton John album as a teen. In the '80s Beaudin was the host of the syndicated radio show ‚”The Cross Canada Report‚” which had two versions (Rock and A/C). Beaudin was also asked to be a judge at the Juno Awards (Canada's answer to the Grammys) Twice. He has anchored every position in radio including morning and afternoon drive and was a Program and Music Director for The Breeze and California 103 in Calgary. He currently hosts the evening show at Move 103.5 (formerly QM-FM) in Vancouver and on iHeartRadio.

Mark’s vocal and organ interpretations of songs like “Take Me For a Little While”, “You Keep Me Hanging On”, “Some Velvet Morning” could really make you feel the pain and emotion of the song. What a great singer!

Great interview Mark. This is Roger Mansour former drummer for Leslie West Vagrants.Thanks for remembering us and mentioning how we were in an influence on the Fudge. Also i don't know if you ever heard interviews with Steve Howe and Jon Anderson and how they mention how the Beatles and Vanilla Fudge were s huge influence on the Fantastic Prog Rock group YES!!!! Vanilla fuge what can I say about there music,first of all I brought all of there lbums back in 69...to me there music were like something new to me, it was so well put together,every instruments had its own part and it blender well together, to me there music 🎶 was like ahead of there time....

My very first concert was Vanilla Fudge and Cream at the State Fair Music Hall in Dallas Tx. I was a very young drummer at the time and seeing Ginger Baker and Carmine totally blew me away. Honestly, the Fudge was my favorite by far. Thanks for the interview.

Mark is an authentic, genuine, honest and super-talented "rock star", a term I use carefully because of his humility, another positive trait. I saw Vanilla Fudge at a tiny theater in Riverhead, New York of all places (the Suffolk Theater) a few months ago, and was positively blown away. The ENERGY these guys generated. Amazing. And Mark, if you actually read these things, I was the guy who said "hi" at the end of the gig and introduced myself, saying "I'll see you at the next family convention. Mark Stein? I'm Mitch Stein." We both laughed..... A good moment, and a good guy. May you play eternally and experience the joy that that brings to all.... (BTW only related in the broad sense. Bruthas from another Mutha. Dad did get around! LOL)

After listening to the entire interview I took the Fudge albums OUT of my Wastebasket. I'll just pretend that they weren't Republicans. My band opened for them at Mount Holyoke College in the late 60's or early 70's and Timmy stole one of the Marshall Logo's off of Vinnie's cabinet and I glued that logo on the headstock of my No-Name Bass. Tim and I remained good friends for years afterwards. I miss him very much. He was a huge influence and a Fabulous Human. 🍎
