The Bouchard brothers are a highly underrated rhythm section, and of course Joe’s famous Godzilla bass solo! Ill check out Joe’s new material.

I love B.O.C., their new album, etc. But I sure miss Joe and Albert Bouchard, and Allen Lanier (R.I.P.). But I'm happy Joe is working and wish him all the best. 🤘

The talent levels in BOC were un-precented in classic rock ... Buck could play guitar, bass, keyboards & drums,, Joe bass & guitar, Allen guitar, bass & keyboards, Eric guitar, keyboards & drums & Albert drums & guitar. They all wrote & four were regular lead vocalists for tracks. Just too rich for the masses ...

Joe was actually always a keyboard player BEFORE he took up the bass.

@@beefoneeto yep Joe was principally guitar and piano prior to taking the proto-BÖC bass on in ‘70. 👍🏻

So agree. First heard them in '75 and all these decades later, for me they are the best AMERICAN Rock band. IMO nobody can match their historic catalog. Sorry Doors & Aerosmith!

I've met Joe a couple times after shows with this band Blue Coupe (With his brother Albert and former Alice Cooper bassist Dennis Dunaway.) and he's always been incredibly nice and approachable and very giving with his time. Never turning away a autograph or a picture. Great guy and I wish him well and luck with his new album. :D

I'm a long time devoted BOC fan. For me revolution by night started out great with take me away then fell flat. Shooting shark is a decent tune but the rest of side one didn't really inspire. Side two is okay especially feel the the thunder. But it just seemed like they were missing something. Maybe they should have stayed with Martin Birch.

Id argue (after listening my way up from the debut album to their recent ones in 1998/2001) that Revolution by night is one great album with no bad tracks on it. I first heard Shooting shark, and then the mighty Take me away.. Quickly followed by feel the thunder, shadow over California and let go.. Also Eyes on fire and Dragon lady have great feel to them. If anything, Veins and Shooting shark are the weakest ones on the album, I think.

I'm always surprised that no one ever seems to mention the incredible bass line to Moon Crazy and the bass and lead out at the end of the song as it rather trails off, (in the most magnificent fashion) not to mention the drums are tight also, I never get tired of listening to it as it is just so badass. Joe Bouchard is also so underrated. He is one of the very best of all time.

Joe and Albert were SO important to the magic of what BÖC was, both great singers and song writers and musicians, just go back and watch a live version of "Golden Age Of Leather" with Allen Joe and Albert still in the band to fully understand how much they gave to that band and then watch a newer version😔 but I still love them today and am pretty excited for "The Symbol Remains" I'd love to see Buck and Eric bring back Joe and Albert once again before its to late. Long live BÖC🤘🏻

Their music used to breathe and swing with the Bouchard brothers. First few albums were kinda psychobilly punk acid jazz. Unprecedented originality. Oh yeah , and Eric blooms vibrato have it a sorta masochistic lounge vibe. Haha Brilliant!

Hi John, Such an incredible band I don't think it is a coincidence that after he left they were not the same . Such classic songs Don't Fear the Reaper, Burnin' For You, Godzilla.... and so many, many more. Ah BOC.... such an iconic band and unfortunately always in the shadow the Purples, the Zeps of this world... all due respect to those incredible bands, God bless and keep well, Tino

This guy Joe Boucard is a legend. From the 40's to the 80's there were so many talented people in the music business of the USA and B.O.C were one band of them. Then probably video and rap shut them all up.

I first got into BOC when I was 13 years old in 1981 with Burnin' for You. I have to echo and amplify Joe B's take on his bandmate Buck Dharma being a phenomenal and underrated (I would say undermentioned) guitar player. I started playing bass in 1999 as a 29 year old with a VHS of Joe teaching some of the BOC basslines. My favorite band of my teen years and always in my top 10. Fire of Unknown Origin is a desert island album for sure!
