Come along as I find cool rocks along the South Llano River near Junction Texas. Will the rocks shine? Check back soon and we will have the answer.

Being a rock hound myself I found that one of my favorite tools is my phone. The flash light you can hold against translucent rock and see inside, camera you can see what you can't see normally. Move camera around at different angles you may be surprised.

Long's Camp in Kingland Texas would be a good rockhounding area to consider!

What tumbler do you use? Ive been wanting to purchase one but all the reviews say they wear out pretty easily and dont last long. Has that been your experience? Should I use my dryer instead? Lol.

Where would you recommend finding agates in Texas? I am looking for pieces to tumble.
