I agree just the process of finding is spectacular! I believe the agates threw a bunch of beautiful quartz around to distract you. Those agates can be tricky!! Thanks for the post.

Thanks Cindy! It really is fun and not too far from civilization. I like to stay within cell range when I’m alone. Thanks for watching!

I love learning from you! Some fellow, dear to me, introduced me to some Joshua Trees, I think we were not too far from St. George. Surreal yet so amazing! Yes, the Joshua's do look like something from a Dr. Seuss story and really spikey, too! The quartz with the blue hue seem to have an opalescence about them! Thanks again for the walkabout!

Hi QuakerKat! So glad to hear from you! Sometimes I wonder if Dr. Seuss got his inspiration from the Joshua Tree! Lol. I look forward to doing more Rockhounding around that area. It’s just so much fun being there. Thanks for sharing your experience amongst them.

I really enjoyed this video. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I’m glad you didn’t have music in the background the entire time like many people feel is necessary. Looks like a beautiful place to explore.

That is an interesting area and so out of the normal from where I go, geologically speaking. Thank you for the shout out. One thing I have always wonder about these desert environments is how much new rock gets exposed from the wind blowing the dirt away each year. The process of going to these places is 25% of the fun, finding things is 25% of the fun and the last 50% is what you do with them after the fact, be it lapidary, identification or just to display.

Thank You Currently Rockhounding! The shout out is genuine as your breadth of knowledge in the field is incredible and I learn so much from you. And your videos are so well done. I am truly honored you would take the time to watch this video on my little KZbin channel. Keep up the great work! You are an inspiration!

Looks really nice. You see many rattle snakes? I ll bet those rocks really polish up nice. When I was a kid I was always bringing home rocks. Drive my mom crazy and she finally gave in and helped me start a rock garden
